A total of 36 kids between the ages of 6 to 11 years old participated in the 2nd CSC Sports Camp from 22 to 25 June.
Besides sports activities namely Badminton, Bowling, Golf, Squash, Table Tennis, Taekwondo and Tennis, the kids had their ultimate share of fun at Laser Tag and being Master Chefs during tea break too. Do not miss the next Sports Camp intake in 2016!

Mark has been serving in the Swimming Sub-Committee since 2014 while Kendrick has served in the Badminton SubCommittee between 2013 and 2014 before moving to the F&B Committee. With their line of credentials, they hope to contribute towards the betterment of the Club.

EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER
NEW ASSISTANT COACH, JUNIOR WATER POLO
We would like to welcome aboard our new Junior Water Polo Coach, Koh Xiao Li who has joined the Club since August 2015. Xiao Li developed her swimming talent at a tender age with the CSC swim team and has represented Singapore in the SEA Age Group 2009 to 2011 as well as the FINA Arena Swimming World Cup in 2010 and 2011. In 2013, she ventured into Water Polo at Temasek Junior College and her active participation gained the academy a Silver and Bronze winning at Inter-school competitions. Xiao Li is currently selected to train with the National Women’s Team. Thomas Koh, Chef de Partie Thomas joined the Club since May 2007. A cheerful and reliable team player, he takes pride in dishing out palatable cuisine for the members and is fully committed to the operations at Man Zhu Cafe.

The young members experienced an increased sense of self-awareness and self-esteem through this programme on 18 and 19 June. Besides being introduced to the possibilities of becoming successful and being joyful about life, the
participants were also more aware on the importance of envisioning their aspirations, creating goals and taking actions to be an achiever in life.

BADMINTON BADMINTON TEAM CHALLENGE
47 enthusiastic players ranging from 21 to 70 years old took part in the round robin competition on 26 and 28 June. After a series of closely fought games among five teams, the Wee Warriors led by Jerry Wee took the top spot and the Neo Matrix led by Kelvin Neo came in second.

The Billiards and Snooker Section came decked in their best red and white outfits on 2 August. The joyous celebration
was made more memorable with the upclose session with World Billiards Champion and SEA Games representative, Peter Gilchrist, as well as Club Captain John Chew. We would also like to thank Mr Patrick Ho for his kind sponsorship of the prizes during the novelty games.

The 48 golfers gathered on 14 July at the Marina Bay Golf Course and finally completed the game. Dinner was held at CSC’s Multi-purpose Room where members enjoyed a sumptuous buffet. The Patrons’ Cup was awarded to Edward How who won with 34 stableford points based on 80% of course handicap.

The young campers took on the challenge of the land and aqua training on 18 June. The excitement grew as they next put
on their combat gears for Battle Strike where the team was required to work cohesively to accomplish a mission. It was not long before the next team building activity took place when the group was engaged in a great bowling session.

Young CSC trainees had the opportunity of playing against Queenstown Water Polo Club, one of Singapore’s biggest
veteran water polo club, on 12 July. The friendly game was a fabulous exposure for the youths. The team would continue to participate in various Water Polo tournaments and friendlies to strengthen the team.
