MESSAGE PRESIDENT'SSMESSAGE 2 PRESIDENT

Dear Members I would like to thank members who have taken the time to attend the 103rd Annual General Meeting (AGM). At this AGM, members gave their unanimous approval on the resolutions to change certain Articles in the Constitution. This change will make the membership rules more family oriented. The proposed amendments were submitted to the Registrar of Societies (ROS) and we are pleased to inform members that ROS have given their approval. The Membership Relations Committee will be working out the details for the implementation of these amendments as they affect Spouse, Child and Junior Memberships. We will keep members informed once the implementation date of the revised Articles is confirmed. At the AGM, members were given good news that they can look forward to the extension of Manzhu Restaurant which is highly patronized. This extension work will provide more seating capacity and enable the Club to offer more F&B options to members, their families and guests. Members will also be happy to know that as part of this upgrading; we are also adding a pastry kitchen in Manzhu to provide freshly baked pastries. The Club will also be introducing a children playground for parents to bring their young children to the Club while they dine at the new al fresco setting of the Manzhu extension. These are some initiatives of the Vision 2030 Committee to make the Club a more family friendly home away from home. We are targeting these upgrading projects to be completed by 3rd quarter of this year. For Swimming, I am pleased to share that our Swimming Coach, Eugene Chia and Swimmer, Gan Ching Hwee have been selected for 2018 Asian Games. The Club extends heartfelt congratulations to the both of them. On Regional Networking, we have added Turi Beach Resort, Nongsa Point Marina & Resort, Tamarin Golf to our list of affiliations. Members will have special rates and privileges when visiting these resorts. This is part of our on-going effort to value add to our membership. For F&B promotions, members can join the wine dinner on 19th July 2018. Exquisite wines from valleys of New Zealand and the mountains of Argentina will be paired with tantalizing western cuisines. In August, Manzhu will be introducing a Sabai Sabai Thai Special where popular Thai dishes will be served. Members can also look out for the CSC inaugural Oktoberfest on 5 October 2018 (Please see the ensuing page for more information). On behalf of the Management Committee and Administrative Team, I wish all members a Happy National Day. May Almighty God continue to guard and bless our Nation with harmony and peace! Shalom and God Bless.

“AGOAGO” DANCE PARTY

LINE DANCE PARTY

The dance floor on Labour Day was heated up by 100 dancers who came to swing, shake and twist to their hearts content. Heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Mr Patrick Ho for his generosity in sponsoring the lucky draw prizes as well as his support and presence at the dance party.

Line Dance Party led by our Sunday class instructor, Ms Belinda was overwhelmed by the support from 80 dancers on 5 May 2018. More than 30 songs were spun non-stop with Ms Belinda dominating the deejay seat. Every dancer could revise the steps with Ms Belinda and dance together with her throughout the night.
