Making a choice in life is like pushing a cart in a hypermarket and putting what you want inside. Every child's existence is like being put into a ‘life cart’ by a parent, which is filled with the child's stuff. However, one day the child will grow up and find their own direction. Then, maybe in the same store, they will meet their original selves sitting in a cart. Now there are carts in hand that belong to them.

About the spirit of all things Taking the spirit of all things in the world as the starting point, I did not want to take this issue too seriously, so used an elf, a mermaid and the Loch Ness monster. More dreamy and long-term by humans giving a lot of imaginary characters to present. Many of the works use dreamy light points, seeming to be and not to be. Like those we cannot see, but let the world be full of the vitality of the spirit.

I have been obsessed with the unknown since I was a child, especially things like the Loch Ness Monster and mermaids. No one can prove their existence, but no one can deny the possibility of their existence. I wanted to use this work to express my yearning for the unknown.

PROCESS
I started with the concept of insomnia and wanted to show the anxiety of not being able to fall asleep at night. It is like walking a tightrope on a roof. Later, considering the roof as the background, I found that the meaning was too straightforward. Therefore, this idea was abandoned.

Later, I wanted to give a feeling of the ‘heebie-jeebies’ as I had lost my way in the forest. However, due to the tightrope, the viewing angle would be a bird’s-eye view, lacking in sense.
The third modification was to put the girl in the forest, but the vertical composition could not fully show the ‘sense of loss’, so this version was finally changed to horizontal mode.
INSPIRATION

If we encounter something we do not know, we often dislike or fear it because we do not understand it, but it may actually be kind. This reminds me of my own little story. When I was a child, I was very afraid of witches and always felt that they were evil and unpredictable. When I grew up, I loved the madness of witches and their mystery, so I wanted to express this association. The element presented was the pumpkin I purchased last Halloween and I was wearing a black dress with my hair in curls.
SELF-PORTRAIT I have had different looks in different periods of my life, but that is me. So I just recorded.

This was performed in the form of the back of a figure, without the figure’s expression hidden, so that the viewer could experience the mystery for themselves. I wanted to present two directions. In the end, the characters in the painting had certain emotions watching the sea, or they were enjoying the image of the sea indoors. There was no standard answer. The answer lies in everyone's heart.

Outsider
In the forest, among the wet, densely packed stones, every gap was actually a bustling city. They had their own way of life, dense threads were their main life tool and contacting information. The whole city looked like a gorgeous society of spider webs. However, once any intruder entered and was unfamiliar with their unique habits, this would be quickly destroyed.

ABOUT TRAVEL Mixed Media
As I travel a lot, I always feel that packing is like the epitome of life. During this journey, the luggage space is limited, what is wanted, what is necessary, what should be discarded. A good travel companion is valuable. Take off in a plane together, watch the sunrise and sunset in different countries and then land together perfectly. When the mood of travel surpasses a threshold, it is like reaching the universe. Everything become vast, unpredictable and romantic.

This picture book was designed based on a family in Taiwan. It describes a girl’s parents, who were too busy at work and neglected to spend time with their children.The content mainly expresses the girl’s precocity and loneliness but she never forgot to entertain herself.
