CHILDREN'S LIBRARY A journey of exploring.
Concept The designer drew inspiration from the mother nature. Kids use their eyes to read, to understand the world through reading, but simultaneously use other senses to feel the environment around them. The designer wanted to create a space that
An Exploring Exprience
gives a strong natural vibe, which is missed for children who grow up in the city, trying to recreate an experience like one could run up and down a hill, howling in a cave, hide and seek with nature, all in this Library.`

THE GREENER DIAMOND Office Design
The Company
Mood Board
The Greener Diamond is a non-profit organization based in New York that aims to inspire consumers to purchase the "lab- made" diamond. Diamond mining causes a lot of issues in the mining countries in Africa, such as child labor and environmental pollution. The organization and its volunteers work both in the state and overseas. They have a lot of conference calls and local visitors so they need both private and open meeting areas. The office is separated into two sections: for short term visitors and the long term employees.
Their Goals
1. Give back to those who have suffered from the earth-mined diamond trade.
2. Inspire a generation independent of the current unethical industry of conflict diamonds.
3. Educate jewelry consumers about the role they play in purchasing conflict diamonds.
Concept
Diamonds are so glamorous because of the way they are cut. The floor plan of the office conveys the idea of the angle. Every wall follows a certain direction, and the furniture follows.
The Diamond Cut
The ceiling lights in the entrance and the corridor provide direction to workers and visiters to the reception desk and meeting areas. The custom sofa follows the angle of the floor plan. The geometric triangle form spreads over the office celebrating the beauty of the diamonds. When it comes to office design, the goal is to maximize people's productivity at work , to express the motto of the company, and having as much as sunlight as possible. The flourscent lights above the working space provide great amount of lights for people to concentrate. The screen in the reception area showcases the educatoinal video inspring people's choose. Last but not least, on the right side of the floor plan has two windows allow sunlights to come in.

MU pet hospital and spa is a full-service animal hospital and beauty salon in NYC. Inspired by the bone of a dog, the space develops into a spreading shape and each functional room fits into it.
NATURAL INSPIRATION
When entering the building, guests are immediately greeted in the reception area. The building is divided into two sections: beauty spa on the left and hospital on the right. RCP

Interior Plant
As for the material, the designer utilizes different tones of neutral colors with different textures. The corridor is designed with an oak floor of a natural wood texture, while the floor of the grooming room is covered with concrete. A slim copper edge acts as a transition between the material change. The counter is upholstered in sand beige leather and large-pattern light beige leather with stormy blue on the top. The shade of the lighting is customized with the leather stripe edge and the translucent fabric in the middle. The conversation between the whole space is rich yet harmonious and delicate.

DOG PLAYGROUND
The designer plays with the different tones of the neutral color with the touch of aqua, brass, and less-saturated green. The wide selection of the natural material like limestone, marble and white oak wood creates a space which is lively and able to “grow “with time, becoming timeless.

The client works in the fashion industry. The designer drive to create a contract space that while she has the east side of the wall fall of her big personality, the other side of the wall is hanged with picture frame without any picture. Sometime in her life she just want to relax and be nothing.
