Virginia & Ryan
Virginia and Ryan’s wedding aesthetic could best be described as classic, ethereal and timeless. The admittedly old-fashioned couple wanted guests to feel as though they were stepping back in time. Wedding décor included soft white and pink florals as well as a few orange kumquats mixed in with the table centerpieces to create a simple, yet ultraelegant atmosphere.
During the ceremony, Ryan waited for Virginia beneath the leafy tendrils of the stunning archway. His favorite moment of the day happened as he watched her walk down the aisle toward him — a beautiful culminating moment of their relationship.
The celebration continued with guests enjoying a cocktail hour and dinner before dancing throughout the evening in the moonlight. The pair had prepared for their big day by taking dancing lessons for two months prior to the wedding. As a grand finale to their first dance, Ryan picked Virginia up and twirled her around as Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic” faded in the background.
Overall, their wedding celebration went flawlessly, aside from a funny “record scratch moment,” when someone accidently kicked the DJ’s electrical plug out of the wall and the music came to a screeching halt. As the evening waned, a bustling bar and outdoor hand-rolled cigar station kept guests busy, where many went to enjoy the cool night air when they needed a break from dancing.
For their honeymoon, they traveled to Bar Harbor, Maine at the height of fall when the leaves transformed into postcard-worthy views.
