Carnell & Gavin
Carnell knew exactly what he was looking for in a lifelong partner. He wrote it down and prayed about it for two years, and then he met Gavin. After realizing Gavin had every single one of those qualities, Carnell knew they were meant for each other.
For their wedding day, the pair wore matching, custom wool suits. And, even though they were wearing the same thing, Gavin’s favorite moment was their first look. He marveled at how handsome Carnell looked, and it fully resonated that they were going to join their lives together forever.
Flanked by groomsmaids in velvet dresses and groomsmen in oatmealcolored suits, Carnell and Gavin said “I do” at the Historic DeKalb Courthouse. Inspired by a trip they took to Tuscany, the reception was meant to feel like a big family Italian dinner with tables adorned with greenery and touches of silver and white.
As the night unfolded, it was just as lively as they had hoped. The cocktail hour and dinner felt like a European breakfast, with focaccia dipped in olive oil, caramelized bacon tartlets and a Nutella French toast casserole. The dance floor was packed the whole night with everyone showing off their best (and worst) dance moves. Carnell even got the chance to belt out his favorite song, “Any Man of Mine,” by Shania Twain.
The whole affair was beautiful and full of love. One element felt extra special – snow fell on the day of their winter wedding. It was an unusual surprise, especially for Georgia!
