The old urban precinct that exists in the city of Panjim, Goa was at risk of deterioration. The weak financial capacity of the residents made it difficult for them to maintain the surroundings. The project was aimed at bridging the gap between stakeholders. Though the majority of the homes in Goa are considered valuable heritage sites the streets and roads between them are neglected and left to waste away. CCF aimed to upgrade the quality of space to preserve the identity but also to provide quality of life.

M4H, Makers for Humanity
NOMOZO, No Motoring Zone (encouraging cycling & walking)
JAKKUR LAKE , BANGALORE, INDIA
PANAJI CITY, GOA, INDIA
The idea of Makers for Humanity is creating structures and producing ideas that would help the future users of the world. With rising water lines that have been caused due to global warming flooding and submergence of land has been direct repercussion. The floating island is a simple idea that utilises water as a living space. The island was able to float by reusing waste material (water bottles). Each bottle was inspected and cleaned before use. The island was given a hexagon shape that provided the ability of a honeycomb growth if more islands were attached to it. The dimension of our project was 3m per side and could carry at one time 50 people. I worked as an assistant to build the project.
The urban space of cities in the 21st century are infested with an ever increasing number of vehicles. The small capital city of Panaji, Goa has faced issues of traffic congestion and blocked parking spaces. This leads to streets being unfavourable to the public. Thus with the enthusiasm to provide more interesting, clean and safe streets, the NOMOZO programme decided to have an experimental shutting down of streets for people to enjoy. I worked as an assistant for the project. CYCLING. WALKING. GAMES. DANCE. ART was mainly encouraged.
