Dufferin grove redux is a urban development project. Start with researching and site analysis, there were discontinuity street, park, residential, semi-detached house and close to core downtown. Neighbor hood of Dufferin had a long history. Since 1800s, the

site had developped various different program; garden, park, rail, and track.

Circle packing is designed by Grass Hopper Visual Basic script to applied 2D surface. And from this algorithm, tweak to change to apply on 3d surface. The form was created by Grass Hopper Kangaroo, basic physic form making software. After form making, circle packing was applied on the form.

This phisical model represents the light penetration through each cylinder and producing astonishing shadow on the ground. Funnel is supporting all the pavilion. This funnel idea is also continues from the previous lantern project. Not only the dramatic mood but also interesting motion. There are some connections which previous lantern project effect on Circle Pavilion (study of light penetration). the 1 way light penetrate from lantern is developed to various way on Circle Pavilion. Solid and Void idea from the lantern project, it also shows on Circle Pavilion through thickness of each cylinder.
