Explore, building the material, role play on their fab lab, and finally exhibition of their work. These will provide children to think and tell their infinite creative idea with expressing fresh and pure approach. On

this design, each fabrication area is a strory telling space. all the other space will

Dufferin grove redux is a urban development project. Start with researching and site analysis, there were discontinuity street, park, residential, semi-detached house and close to core downtown. Neighbor hood of Dufferin had a long history. Since 1800s, the site had developped various different program; garden, park, rail, and track. The goal of this project is to make a harmony of the city via key terms of continuity, neighbor, link, share, park, open space and human. peter eisenman memorial, 2005

Anchor structure patially submerged and partially soaring

Dufferin Grove Community Centre is an arrangement of programmatic spaces that anchor themselves to a long corridor spine, hovering over the existing swale of the park and functioning as an extension of the existing pathway. While programmatically rich, the current Dufferin Grove Park lacks the infrastructure to fully exploit the creative potential of the community. The proposal functions as a means to fuse together culture, architecture and landscape. It harmoniously ties together existing program, while creating space for new and interchanging activities. for the

Conceptually, each program box jets out of the main corridor and is arranged in staggered confirmation. This allows for a balance of light entering through the glazed corridor space, as well as a dynamic division of space within the corridor, since the volumes of both the corridor and boxes overlap at joining moments. At the north-east end of the building, the gymnasium is partially submerged underground; the cafe or resting area at the south-west end cantilevers out facing Dufferin Street. These contrasting elements provide stability and lightless and allow for the structure to appear as if it is soaring out from the ground in the centre of the park. the building and into the park itself.

This design is meant to create a smooth journey for pedestrians into

The building’s main entrance is on the busiest street of the park, Dufferin Street, which leads pedestrians into the building. This is also a pathway leading into the park, as the exit or secondary entrance opens up into the centre of the park. Formally,

Community Centre is a combination of wood-cladded programmatic boxes jetting out of a transparent, glazed space. The long, glazed corridor hosts public programming such as lounge and cafe spaces, and also functions as a means to connect the various programs. The two different types of spaces, open corridor and closed box sets up a journey for the pedestrian from outdoors, to glazed interior, leading into the program areas. The central corridor portion of the structure sits on columns and allows for pedestrians to move beneath along the existing paths, and frames the building with two mounds on either side. the
