This zine was created for the Project Research 2 course as a part of the Bunka Gakuen University, Global Fashion Concentration Masters program. This zine, Aoki Machi is a pastiche of FRUiTS magazine, a well known street snap publication. This zine invites you to question your perception of Japanese street fashion. Perhaps you had an idea of what styles are associated with Japanese street fashion and the kinds of people who would appear in the pages of a street fashion magazine. In imitating the styles, layouts, text etc. of FRUiTS magazine I hope you question your preconceived notions of what makes certain styles "Japanese" while reinforcing the importance of these kinds of publications in the Japanese street fashion community.
