序 introduction
Andrew Slorance, 51, has won a $1m prize to help him continue to develop a revolutionary ultra-light, stable carbon fibre wheelchair. He was aware of how tipping over backwards was the primary cause of accidents for wheelchair users. One way to deal with this is by having the axle to the back of the wheelchair and putting the user’s weight to the front of it - but this brings new challenges. When the weight is carried by the small front wheels, this adds drag, making pushing and turning much more difficult, and introducing uncomfortable vibrations that can cause pain and muscle spasms. Wheelchair designs have previously had to make a trade-off between agility and stability, but Mr Slorance’s new design allows the wheelchair to automatically change the weight distribution itself, keeping users balanced while also ensuring they’re as agile as possible.

團隊介紹
綠波公司負責人廖賢波畢業於美國賓夕法尼亞 大學景觀建築系碩士，具有美國註冊景觀專業
執照、中華民國景觀師證照及工程會品管工程 師證照，曾任職於美國 Sasaki Associates 規劃
部門經理，負責許多大規模之都會公園整體景 觀規劃，包括「美國羅德島州 Providence 水域
整 體 規 劃 」(ASLA 2006 Professional Award)、
「越南胡志明市新城區整體規劃」、「中國雲 南昆明草海北岸新城整體規劃」等，具有多年 城鄉規劃設計專業經驗，國內北、中、南、東 等區域均有規劃設計實績。
本團隊擁有超過 10 名的規劃設計師，具有完整 的生態、景觀、土木、水利等專業訓練與工程
實務經驗，並具有 7 名以上成員工程會品管工 程師證照，能夠提供全方位專業服務。

中 正 湖 是 美 濃 重 要 的 地 標， 與 美 濃 的 自 然 人 文 歷 史 緊 密 扣 合。 以 里 山 地 景 "Satoyama Landscape" 為目標，結合地方與自然生活共存 的農村景觀，同時也創造多樣的生態棲地。
本案整合中正湖與美濃地區之文化古蹟、自然 生態資源等環境特色，型塑中正湖成為具客家 生活意象之景觀環境，提升地方生活品質，並
藉由都市計畫變更公園用地，擴大環湖區域的
綠地空間，透過水域、陸域環境的整體營造， 融入地方特有的客家特色文化，打造結合生態 與人文的國家級自然公園。
