POSTERS — METAXA

For the celebration of 2500 years after the Battle of Salamis, the House of Metaxa spirit, a greek spirit drink with a long history and the warrior of Salamis as its logo, asked students of AKTO to design a poster for this historical event. The concept was to reimagine the logo of Metaxa spirit and bring it to our times while embracing the Greek historical event and the history of Metaxa. My poster was meant to represent with its colors the greek sea but also the unique amber color of Metaxa. In the middle is hiding the bottle of the spirit like it’s a boat floating in the water. With the original logo together is also a new tribal-like version of the logo I designed, with sharp angles and points, to represent how everything is the same but rougher in some ways.
