The film’s story unfolds within that great House. Upstairs lived Mountbatten together with his wife and daughter; downstairs lived their 500 Hindu, Muslim and Sikh servants. In order to help reduce pet overpopulation, it’s important to have your pet neutered, which is the only permanent, 100-percent effective method of birth control. In most rescue centres, spaying or neutering is mandatory for all adopted cats, dogs and rabbits. This ensures the animals placed in the community don’t contribute to pet overpopulation. Adoption can save lives Rescue centres are often overcrowded. Adoption will not only save the life of the pet you are adopting, but it will also make room and free up precious resources for another animal in need. Adopting an animal from a shelter is the best way to help them continue their great work! Adoption offers a second chance Rescue centres are full of healthy, loving and smart animals. In many instances, they were not surrendered because

Testing for Legionella – The Law!
L
egionella, or Legionnaires Disease as it is more commonly known, is a potentially fatal form of Pneumonia. Legionella bacteria are prevalent in most water sources and can become an issue if the environment in which it is in allows it to breed. Everyone is susceptible to infection and, as such, the Law places an obligation on business owners and landlords to assess and manage the risk. In our experience, business owners and landlords are not always aware of the Law regarding their obligations for assessing the risk and testing their environment (business premises/rental property) for Legionella. The Law, however, is very clear and enforcing it has led to a recent fine of ÂŁ1.8million! Put succinctly the Law states that; Business owners and landlords are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of their employees or any other person(s) in their care (self employed persons and/or tenants). Their duties under the Health & Safety at Work (HSW) Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) law apply to the risks of exposure to Legionella bacteria. The policing of this legislation is overseen by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The HSE has issued an Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) for the guidance on the regulations and legislation, specifically for Legionnaires Disease. This code of practice is commonly known as L8 and is available for purchase from the HSE website.
