The Project was to design a visitor’s centre and site was located at Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve. My design incorporated two buildings; the first building was the main visitor’s centre with a reception area, toilets, Kitchen and also a class room for visiting schools. The second building was a hydroponics lab for the growing and sale of rear plans and flowers native to England; the main area was the growing room with storage and germinating roomslocated to one side.
For my third year project I decided to design an extreme sports park; with facilities for Parkour, Skateboarding, Freestyle BMX and Rock Climbing. The main design point for this project was to allow the building itself to be used for these sports. I created a multi-level complex with a climbing tower, ramps for BMX and Skateboarding to gain access parkour runs over and around the building. As well as the building there were spate areas for each sport to practice and also a video editing suite to create videos for you tube. This building would have been the first of its kind and would have been a hub were extreme sports practitioners from all over the world could come a train with each other in a state of the art facility.
An extreme sport is a popular term for certain activities perceived as having a high level of inherent danger. These activities often involve speed, height, a high level of physical exertion, and highly specialized gear or spectacular stunts. •Parkour •Skiing /Snowboarding •Bungee Jumping •Skydiving •Skateboarding •Freestyle BMX •Base Jumping •Kayaking •Rock Climbing •Motocross

The Mirfield Road Project was to increase the size of the existing kitchen and if possible incorporate a separate utility room; as well as removing an existing flat roof and constructing a new pitched roof. I decided to demolish the existing extension and construct a single story extension to the rear of the property. This also gave the opportunity to provide a new WC next to the study and allowed the under stairs cupboard to be used as storage.
This was one of the largest projects I worked on for the Dioceses of Lincoln. This Project consisted of demolishing the existing garage and out buildings and erecting a single story study and garage within the exiting foot print. The main access was changed to provide easy access to the new study and WC. The proposed kitchen was moved into the existing dining room and the proposed dining room was moved into the existing study. The bathroom was enlarged and a new En-suite was crated for bedroom 1.

This project was for a high spec modernist house to be built in Lincoln. The project was challenging due to the existing building and difficult site layout. I was involved at the start of the project to draw up different design ideas; as well as producing drawings for planning permission and 3D visuals for the client.
This project was adapting an existing 2 Bedroom bungalow to meet the requirements of the DDA and also providing the requirements set by the client. I was involved in the site survey, drawing up existing and proposed plans, elevations and sections; also providing the drawings to meet the planning application requirements.
