Continuous Inner Spiral Staircase
Suspended Spiral A central civic space that performs a variety of multifunctional purposes within the outdoor theater. The space is multiplied by a continuous inner-circular spiral staircase that elevates overhead from the ground floor and connects to the multi-levels that transcends the surrounding area. Through this, a discovery of suspension is created due to the aerial changes in direction while traveling up the stairs. The significance of creating a suspended staircase is to focus primarily on creating a central theater that allows guests to view ground space as a stage. This generates a new type of spectacle in which a level of interaction within the space implies guests to contribute to the atmosphere of the surrounding area. Christopher Lomeli
