Developed a proposal of an FM-BIM integration plan that could use work orders to generate dissatisfaction scores based on Post Occupancy Analysis toolkits. This process involved the following: literature review for categorization dynamo / python code development to read and write information into the BIM FM dashboard concept design to prioritize areas of concern and allow for at--a-glance problem solving collaboration with the Ryerson FM team to use work order data and current campus BIM models to develop a workflow recapitulation of ideas and findings in a published paper presenting findings at the ISARC 2018 conference in Berlin

Abstract: The application of BIM and data analytics in facility management is an area of growing interest and research. The ability to mine data from occupant complaints in real-time and visualize this at the building and building cluster scale provides new opportunities for facility managers to more effectively respond to occupant complaints and optimize the performance of the building. A project is currently underway at Ryerson University in collaboration with the facility management team to mine data from work orders and develop a comprehensive visualization strategy for FM-BIM integration. This paper presents the development of mapping and data visualization strategies to support the identification of priority areas and extraction of key occupant satisfaction trends. Key visualizations and BIM integration protocols from the campus deployment are presented and discussed to identify applicability of this data to support post-occupancy evaluation, limitations, and opportunities for further expansion and refinement. CURTIS BLOCK Calgary, Alberta 2016 Early design development studies for multi tower development. Required FAR and GFA to be met while tower stepping was negotiated with structural consultant. Dynamo definition was developed in order to use the linked structural model to inform mullion placement along the facade to align with columns. This definition was further developed to create a reflection of the adjacent Bow River; a variegated pattern along the facade through oscillating mullion thickness, colour, and balcony widths. Construction documentation and sequentially tendering, executed under an IPD contract. This allowed for a collaborative design process where trades, consultants, users, client, and municipal commitee meet regularly as the CD set is being developed. PENKRIDGE HALL 2019 Design for a private library and loft on heritage property in Leebotwood, England. Stone relief was developed with brick exterior. Interior bronze fluted ceilings developed to emulate gothic fan vaulting.
