And the Teams Played On

Though COVID-19 has certainly put obstacles in our way, we have nonetheless managed to enjoy some great moments on court.

A GOOD FINISH

As May marked the end of all team leagues, I would like sincerely thank all players for their participation and dedication in representing the Swiss Club.

A big bravo to our Ladies WITS C team, led by Captain Thayna, for finishing in second place. This is a great result!

Our A team have also been putting in a lot of effort in improving their game. However, unfortunately the results did not reflect their hard work. Keep up the good work – better days will come.

Our STA men’s team, led by Captain Naveen, also battled hard across Singapore. They almost (but not quite) made it to the semifinal. Bad luck, guys – next season you will make it, for sure.

THREE CHEERS FOR THE CHAMPIONS

And saving the best till last, the STA women’s team, led by Captain Corinna, won the B League!

In particular, congratulations to Corinna, Gabriela, Anette, Carola, Hiroko, Roberta, Victoria, Alexia, Tracy, Nathalie, Marika and Malou.

BRAKES ON REGULAR TOURNAMENTS

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we have been unable to play our regular Swiss Club tournaments. Hopefully that will change soon. I hope you find ways to work on your fitness at home, or surrounded by nature. Stay safe.
