5.00: We went sledging near the chalet. Mummy fell off and we all laughed! It started to get chilly so we went back to the chalet for our tea.

7.00: I was feeling very sleepy so had a bath and stories by the fire. Daddy had some wine and was feeling sleepy too.

In the evening...

4.30: Mummy and Daddy came back from skiing. They had had lots of fun and Mummy said Daddy ate a ginormous lunch on the mountain even though Chef Ben is cooking a yummy dinner! We had scrummy afternoon tea and cakes, all made by Ben.

5.30: Chef Ben made homemade Chalet Pie; I ate it all up. Mummy said she wants to take Chef Ben home to do our cooking after the holiday.

08.00: My name is Lucy. I am staying at Chalet Nicole in La Plagne with Mummy and Daddy and my sister Laura. It is amazing! This morning Chef Ben cooked bacon and eggs and pancakes - Yum Yum!

Laura and the other children sang funny songs as they left. 11.00: I stayed at the chalet this morning. Jenny and I made Frosty with the other children, he is a super cool snow man. Then we did arts and crafts; we are too little for ski school but I am going to try it with Daddy later in the week.

À La Carte Childcare | Our À La Carte Childcare service has one guiding principle; if children are happy and entertained in a safe environment by people that truly care, then parents will be free to relax and enjoy themselves.

OUR CHILDCARE TEAM

Importantly, all of our childcare is based in the chalet you are staying in. This unique approach creates a relaxed home from home environment that you won’t find with a centralised crèche. It also avoids a snowy trudge or bus ride for parents in the morning to a central crèche, simply slip into your (warmed!) ski boots and head for the slopes.

All our childcare staff are carefully chosen by our senior managers and will ensure your children have a great ski holiday. Nannies are fully qualified and helpers have a wealth of experience in professional childcare environments. All our staff are enhanced DBS and reference checked and child carers are trained in first aid.

MOUNTAIN MARMOTS SKI LESSONS Each morning, after breakfast our experienced childcare team will kit your child out and take them to ski school. We sign them in with the English speaking ski instructors and pick them up after a fabulous morning skiing. Then it's back to the chalet for optional lunch or Monty's Afternoon Club (see page 14).

Some parents are looking for all day care to maximise time on the slopes, whilst others are seeking options that allow afternoons spent en-famille. All children receive a Monty the Marmot badge with Ski Famille Childcare.

MINI MARMOTS | 4 MONTHS TO 4 YEARS | £349 All day care (0900 to 1700) six days a week for children from four months to four years old. Safe stimulating fun in and around your chalet with our qualified nannies and carers. Includes supervised lunch and all activities.

MOUNTAIN MARMOTS | 3 TO 12 YEARS | £249 Morning English speaking ski instruction for all abilities six days a week. We will get children ready for ski classes, take them to and from the ski school meeting points and liaise with our ski school partners. Care is 0900 to 1230 and lessons are typically 2hrs long. Lesson times, days and durations may vary for skiers aged 3 and 4 years.

SUPERVISED LUNCH | 3 TO 12 YEARS | £99 Supervised lunch in your chalet (1230 to 1400) six days a week. This option is already included in Mini Marmots and Monty’s Afternoon Club.

MONTY’S AFTERNOON CLUB | 3 TO 12 YEARS | £239 Six afternoons (1230 to 1700) of action packed activities with plenty of outdoor play. Hunt for Monty the Marmot, tobogganing, arts and crafts and much much more. Includes supervised lunch.

MONTY’S PYJAMA PATROL | ALL AGES | FREE New for 2016/17 Baby / Child listening service from 7.30pm to 10.00pm 6 evenings a week. SKI UP TO 3,250M

La Plagne is a superb area for family skiers and our two chalets are located in a great spot beside the slopes and a short walk from the ski school meeting point and ski lifts. Plagne 1800 offers an attractive, yet high altitude, base for families and has a small but appealing selection of bars, shops and restaurants. Plagne Centre is a short bus ride away offering even more shops and restaurants. You will enjoy high altitude skiing combined with charming villages. The fast link to Les Arcs gives a total ski area that even the most experienced skiers will struggle to cover in a week.

We have always thought that the 3 Vallees location of our Reberty 2000 chalets was unbeatable. That may still be the case, but we have certainly found a stunning rival. Sitting beside the Fontanettes piste with views across to the slopes of La Masse, our new Bruyeres chalets offer astonishingly easy access to Val Thorens, Les Menuires, Meribel and Courchevel. Bruyeres is a great base for skiing and also has excellent facilities for families.
