Year 8 Sport Interschool Sport Semester One

The Interschool Sport elective involves students playing or competing for the College in Netball, Soccer, Hockey or AFL. The program continues to build students’ existing sporting knowledge and game understanding, in addition to developing the skills required for their respective sport. In TERM 1, students will plan for and conduct a SEPEP unit in their chosen sport. This will require coaching Yr7 and Yr8 students in a designated training session. During TERM 2, Yr8 students will compete in a weekly xture competition in their chosen sport against other Geelong-based Independent Schools (GISSA).


Year 8 Sport Interschool Sport Semester Two

A wide range of sports are offered in the Yr8 Interschool Sport Elective (Semester Two). In TERM 3, students have the opportunity to trial for Basketball and Badminton teams that compete in the Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association (GISSA) competition. Or they choose to be involved in other Racquet/Striking sports, Invasion games and/or Aerobic/Fitness. In TERM 4, students will compete in weekly matches against other Geelong-based Independent Schools in either Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball, Softball or Water Polo.
