Subject focus: There are stories all around us, just waiting to be told. This subject allows students the opportunity to tell stories in ways that capture and captivate readers. Students learn about and experiment with all elements of story-telling: selecting subject matter; research and interview skills; writing and editing; creating and manipulating visual mediums (including photography) to convey meaning; and publishing. Students work on the creation of individual stories, as well as working collaboratively, on publishing work to real audiences. Students also learn to effectively tell stories by experimenting with both visual and written forms.
