Preparing for placements by writing letters of introduction
Setting personal goals for placement— SMART goals
Writing a journal to document placement experiences and how students are working towards achieving their goals

Speakers to talk about opportunities to serve in the local and wider community
Attending 12—14 placement visits over the semester

Sharing placement experience with teacher and peers

Attending an excursion where students learn more about homelessness and prepare meals
and care packs for local homeless

Logistics: Classes will run during a triple period Students will be transported to and from placements Assessment will involve initiative and enthusiasm shown based on journaling, goal setting and supervisors’ reports
