Observations

• In New Castle County, infant mortality rates for all races/ethnicities combined were higher than Delaware and U.S. averages. • The infant mortality rate for Non-Hispanic Blacks also was higher in New Castle

County than in Delaware and the U.S. • Non-Hispanic Black infant mortality rates have been more than double those for

Non-Hispanic White populations.
