CHURCH MINISTRY ESSENTIALS MODULE 7: MORE THAN ENOUGH MOVEMENT BUILDING
MODULE 7
Church Assessment
Answer the key questions associated with each of the six categories of ministry measured in the church assessment report: 1. Recruitment: Have we provided a clear path in our church for everyone to do something? 2. Communication:
Are there multiple things in place that make it clear to church members how they can get involved in the foster care-related initiatives that your church offers? 3. Prayer: Do families in your church (and outside your church) feel prayed over and spiritually cared for, and are other members of the church regularly given opportunities to pray for children and families involved in foster care? 4. Community/Relational Support: Does your ministry offer clear, regular and healthy wraparound support and relational connections for families involved in foster care? 5. Financial/Physical Support:
Does your ministry offer opportunities for church members to tangibly support families involved in foster care? 6. Leadership Is there a clearly defined leadership structure in your ministry with various people overseeing different aspects of serving, supporting and engaging families in your church/community?
Strategic Partners in Movement Building Who are some of your most trusted (either current or potential) church, organizational or ministry partners in your community working in the “before, during and after” foster care space? How can you begin to move them together towards the “more than enough” vision for your city/county/community?
