Market Research:
Style
Popular tumbler products usuallyy are individual parts that need to be purchased separatley and as a result are not easy to pack. From 1st hand research, the target audience wants a product that is stylish, durable, and modular so they can share their drinks with others.
Liqu Tumbler Bottle - Sketches
Sketch Development: My concept developed into a vessel that splits into 3 parts. The cups fit together and house the glass bottle inside them.
Liqu Tumbler Bottle - Details
My solution: The Liqu Tumbler Bottle is easy to pack and perfect for sharing. Liqu is ideal for campers going somewhere and want a drink when they get there.

Distance Made Easy
Spring Semester Capstone Project
Introduction
What and why?
I have always wanted to design a golf product because I love the sport and the products tend to lack having the “all around aspect. Most of them are geared for specific functions and have limited features.
Distance
Simple
Objective
Create a golf product that can provide golfers with all the necessary information about a golf course to help them make educated decisions with every shot.
Compact

Sketches
Sketch Development
After researching existing products, popular colors used, material choices, and form factors, I explored tons of ideas on paper. I ultimately landed on a simple and compact, but powerful and capable concept.

Benefits of a Hybrid
Use the laser to measure object distances while having all the yardage totals to the green in real time right on the LCD display. Many existing products lack the capability to get this much information in one device.

audio & visual experience
CYM Speaker - Cymatics
What is Cymatics?: Cymatics is the study of visualizing sound through frequency and vibrations.
CYM Speaker - Objective
Objective: Design a unique speaker system using the science of Cymatics, creating both a visual and auditory experience for the audience. Utilize water refractions from frequency vibrations.
CYM Speaker - Sketch Phase
Sketches
Sketch Development: Through sketching, I explored many different construction methods and aesthetic details.. The concept developed into having these components: • Tactile Transducer mounted to bottom of Acrylic Box for frequency vibrations • MDF Cabinet to house Drivers covered by a Fabric Skin to protect from dust • Fill Line on Acrylic Box because a certain volume of liquid will give best results • LED Lights under Acrylic Box to produce Light Refractions and create visual show
CYM Speaker - Prototype
Prototyping a POC After ideation, I needed to validate my concept. I built a working proof of concept model with the necessary components and it was successful! With a model that proves the cymatic element works, I continued to develop my concept.

Bluetooth Audio and Visual Speaker
Pour water into top of acrylic box Fill to the break line on the outsde of the box
Light refractions will occur from the moving liquid.. When the multi-color LED’s are on, it creates a light show around the room
Audio plays through 3 full range drivers, 1 tweeter and 2 passive radiators Frequencies are sent to tactile transducer
Tactile transducer is mounted to the bottom of the acrylic box and vibrates the liquid inside When the moving water is combined with the colored light refractions from the LED’s, the water dances to the music creating a visual show
Touch Display Buttons control volume, vibration intensity, and pause/play audio
Plug in to device with aux cord or other speakers with analog Charge with an AC power cord

Who is Martin Logan?:
MartinLogan is an American company that produces conventional subwoofer speakers as well as floor-standing, wall-mounted, and in-wall hybrid speakers using electrostatic loudspeaker and planar magnetic thin film loudspeaker technology.
What I do as an intern:
•Work on mutlipe projects, 1 of which is in the mass manufacturing process and 2 are approved and waiting to be mass manufactured. • Collaborate with mechanical designers and audio engineers in the creation, development, and preparation for mass manufacturing of consumer audio products • Sketch ideation, generate concept renderings, aid in the construction of 3-D models, packaging solutions and production part drawings. • Support the team with material decisions by conveying materials in Keyshot and creating realistic part renderings for material exploration
To preserve the privacy of Martin Logan, I have only included pictures that were approved to be publicized by the product development team.
Thank you for your time! I hope you enjoyed viewing my portfolio and seeing my design capabilities. Feel free to contact me at any time. 785.250.2987 cxhc25@gmail.com
