Our Duty to Israel is a sermon preached by Scottish minister of the gospel, Robert Murray M’Cheyne, on 17th November 1839, after returning from a “Mission of Inquiry into the State of the Jewish People” which was commissioned by the Church of Scotland.
This updated edition of Our Duty to Israel has been edited in an effort to make his extraordinary sermon more accessible to
today’s readers. Every attempt has been made to retain the content and emphasis that the author intended and to stray as little as possible from the original text.
Shortly after his death in 1843, his friend Andrew Alexander Bonar edited his biography which was published with some of his manuscripts as The Memoir and Remains of the Rev. Robert Murray M'Cheyne. It has had a lasting influence on Evangelical Christianity worldwide.
