Wild Foods from Foraging to Feasting

John Kallas, PhD John Kallas continues to explain the value and potential of wild plant foods in the second volume of Edible Wild Plants. Through photography, authoritative text, focused attention on botanical details, nutritional charts, approximately 25 recipes, and a plethora of additional preparation and cooking suggestions, Kallas gives readers the knowledge and confidence needed to forage, eat, and enjoy edible wild plants. Volume 2 explores wild radish, everlasting pea, cattail, pokeweed, and ten other new plants divided into five flavor categories that help readers use them in pleasing and predictable ways. There is also a section addressing the dangers of poison hemlock, which is often mistaken for wild carrot.
