SnapShot is an easy way to gather the views of the visitors through giving them an unique free photo souvenir. Victoria is a leader in Canadian Tourism and this program will create a standard that other Cities will follow. SnapShot Survey is excited to be able to present you with this document.

HOW DOES IT WORK SoftCorp Media has created a photo tag system that allows a photographer to give a code card to an individual that was photographed. This allows the guest to go to the Tourism Victoria website at their convenience to receive their free digital photo. To receive their ‘SnapShot’, all that is required is for the guest to fill out a quick survey. Once they complete the survey the photo is available for them to print, download, or share through a number of Social Media platforms. SnapShot Survey enjoys nearly 50% participation rate in the events done to date. VICTORIA OPERATIONS As Victoria is a tourist destination, it is important to make the SnapShot process a memorable experience. Photographers under this program would be from SnapShot MAX. They would be dressed in their vintage newspaper boy uniforms and paired with a photogenic model representing Victoria. This could be a mascot, famous person or vintage costumed greeters. (SnapShot MAX is in discussion with Victoria AM Association to fill this role) This themed combo would tour Victoria and offer the visitors a free digital souvenir of their trip to Victoria. They would be given a photo tag card to retrieve their free ‘SnapShot’ gift from the City of Victoria. The guests would visit Tourism Victoria’s website to collect their photo.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS The ‘splash page’ (internet page that guests arrive to receive their photo) is fully customizable. This allows us to create a vast assortment of social media connections for Tourism Victoria. Guests would have the option to ‘like’, ‘tweet’ or ‘tumble’ their photos through Tourism Victoria social media mediums. This vast amount of connections greatly increases the SEO (search engine optimization) for Tourism Victoria, which delivers increased internet presence. Surveys can be quickly updated or completely changed dependent on the event or circumstances. All the results are instantly available in a clear online format. It is also possible to establish direct forms of communication with the individuals that receive their photo. This ensures that specials, notices and updates can be sent to a greater amount of guests who visit Victoria. THE NUTS n’ BOLTS This program is ready to be implemented immediately. A final decision by Tourism Victoria on the design of the photo cards and the ‘splash page’ is all that is required. Project budget is dependent on the results desired by Tourism Victoria. This could be established by number of photos taken, respondents per survey or a simple length of offering. In fact this program is of such a benefit for the City that it is possible to coordinate with other City organizations (such as; DVBA (Downtown Victoria Business Association, City of Victoria, Victoria Attractions etc. Greater Victoria Harbour Authority etc.) to create a City wide campaign that shares the project costs. Victoria has a chance to be a leader in Visitor Satisfaction with this unique and memorable project for our important guests.

LET’s MEET! This proposal gives you a general outline of the project proposal. In summary: it gives Tourism Victoria valuable survey data while connecting with the City Visitors through a free memorable photo gift. What a great thing to do for our Tourists!
