ISSUES COMMITTEE The Issues Committee reviews potential legislation and hosts our legislators to hear first-hand how business is impacted by regulations. LOCAL, REGIONAL, STATE & FEDERAL ISSUES The Greater Springfield Partnership is the legislative watchdog for businesses through our local, state, regional and national affiliates.
LOCAL The Issues Committee recognizes the impactful role the City of Springfield and Clark County play in the economic development success and prosperity of the region. As such the committee works to enhance its interaction with government leaders to advance several strategies and initiatives it hopes will improve the vitality and well-being of the area. Specifically, the Issues Committee seeks to play a meaningful role working with local government to: » Review and address, where possible, the six Performance Audit Priority Recommendations identified by Public Financial Management » Develop a timeline for Southern Gateway (I-70 and 72) enhancements and the South Limestone Street Corridor Implementation » Acknowledge and embrace the economic development benefit of various quality of life and sense of place initiatives within the City
