INTERIOR TOPOGRAPHIES: TOWARD A NEW SPATIAL ETHOLOGY Year 03_Fall 2018 The objective behind this project was to study a natural land formation and to abstractly diagram and design an interior space inuenced by the chosen land formation. The renovation of the 14,000 square foot existing Sunsphere located at 260 feet above Knoxville, Tennessee would become home to an observatory and laboratory for scientists studying the behaviors of homing pigeons in comparison to drones, while using both to survey the landscape. Along with an aviary and laboratory space, the Sunsphere would have a theater and reception space, and would be open to the public throughout the week.

SABOR. PERUVIAN GASTRONOMY + CRAFT COCKTAILS Year 02_Fall 2017 The objective of this project was to take an existing structure, formerly an old mechanics shop local to Knoxville, and convert it into a restaurant influenced by the culture and cuisine of Peru. The project focused on the influence of natural light and color within a space, which are both abundant in Peru. A series of skylights with colored glass were designed in order to allow for colored light to fill the neutral interior space.

L’ATELIER A DESIGNER’S RESIDENCE + STUDIO Year 02_Spring 2018 This project focused on adapting an existing structure in Knoxville, Tennessee into a space for a client with a career as a fashion designer, which would house a showroom, studio, and a full living space. The studio focused on patterns of circulation, which allowed for a staircase to be the focal point of the project, influencing both the circulation and the front facade. A large aperture was designed for the front facade, following the slope of the staircase. This allowed for the interior of the atelier to be on display to passersby.

Venting is crucial during summer periouds to prevent overheatin adjacent rooms. Double skin facades can be used as part of a natur mechanical ventilation strategy, but the complexity of ventilat increased compared to a free f
