Archive for the aforementioned art collector Marzona, this time focused on the whole collection, based in Berlin; the site is situated behind Scharoun’s National Library and next to van der Rohe’s Neuer Staatsgallerie; it aims to cover the rather unorganized backside of the library, while connecting the Staatsgallerie to the surrounding office buildings, therefore enlarging and connecting the Kulturforum to the rest of Berlin.

Extension of an historic village in the east of Austra. The goal was to use the structure of the historic atrium houses as an inspiration, to counteract the less dense area of single family homes. All houses are 9m wide, and between 18 and 54 m long, completely oriented towards the inside. The front row of houses has private parking, the rest has carports. The Area has 3 public squares and is ended by fields of nearby vineyards. 4

städtebau westbahnhof, vienna
Urbanistic concept for abandoned rails on the lower side of the Westbahnhof, an area named “Schmelz”. The concept includes residential and public buildings, a University Campus and a park. The challange was to both protect the new neighbourhood from the noise of the working trainstation, as well as to connect it to the district on the other side of the tracks.

Residential building located in Vienna’s 16th district Ottakring, traditionally a working class neighbourhood.
