Penthouse in London A proposal for a renovation of an 18th-century penthouse in London. That residential project required a careful approach to the blending of contemporary architecture with historic preservation. We wanted the resident to feel extremely relaxed, but also to see details that refer to many different eras by including a wealth of details from the past. We tried to refresh the living room area by painting monochromatic the oldstyle decorative plasters. Using velvet furnishing, cabinets that already exist, plants and gold details we updated the room style with today’s decoration trends.

NOMADIC KIT
Tortoise Pack Tortoise Pack is a portable multifunctional seating unit for the nomadic lifestyle users. This long-lasting furniture was designed to fulfil the user’s needs for an aesthetic and functional piece that they can carry during their journey. Tortoise Pack gives the user the freedom to choose the way of seating by changing the position of the mattress. Nomadic lifestyle demands furniture that is easy to travel, and that can give them more functions but less space occupation. This project was designed to answer the question “What happens if I stop living a nomadic lifestyle?” by exploring the afterlife of the product and designing expansion kits that can transform it into new pieces of furniture.

Exothitís Exothitis: greek word of the food extrusion tool. ‘Food extrusion’ is a process by which a single or set of mixed ingredients are forced through different shaped openings. It is a form of extrusion used in food processing. Exothitis is a set of dining tools based on an existing manual meat grinder and a newly designed rotating plate onto which the extruded food is placed. This conceptual project displaces a traditional object by placing it on fine dining tables. Exothitis aims to involve diners in processing their food and minimize the waiting time in a fine dining restaurant. It allows diners to choose from a selection of ingredients and, through the food extrusion, to dress up their rotating ‘clock-plate’. This process brings more interaction to the dining experience, which starts immediately. The consumer cannot predict the final appearance of the plate because it depends on the speed of the extrusion and the rotation of the plate, which are both controlled by the diner.

Ithaki survival tool Ithaki is a survival tool in the form of a clip. The tool combines a compass, a whistle and a reusable match. This product aims to help you survive in a situation that technology will be useless. A compass is a tool that helps you to find your orientation. It is an element that can help you to read a map and reach your destination. A whistle is a tool that can help in a situation when your life is in danger. The sound of the whistle will give people the ability to detect you when in need. The reusable match is a part of the Ithaki tool that will help you start a fire when wanted. Why Ithaki? Ithaki is an island in the Ionian Sea in Greece, which was an important setting in one of the most famous myths of ancient Greece, the Odyssey. The main hero of the story, Odysseus, lived in Ithaki and he was known for his cleverness and cunningness. Odysseus helped his fellow Greeks to win the Trojan War. After the Trojan War, which lasted ten years, it took him another ten years to return home, facing multiple adventures in the process. That is why Ithaki symbolises the urge of survival and the desire of reaching ones destination.
