ON BEHALF OF BRANDON AND THE BIRD FAMILY...
Welcome to a powerful offering of club calf genetics! This is without question one of the deepest sets of
cattle to sell anywhere across the country and it has been derived from countless hours of Brandon’s efforts and years of operation. You will find elite donors and good young cows that have their entire future ahead of them. Many are A.I. serviced and many sell bred to a powerful herd bull battery of successful, proven sires. Brandon’s decision to sell these cows, has been talked about over the last two months by many. The drought of the last few years is one that continues to hang on. It is now one of the epic weather events of our lifetime and will likely be remembered, no different from the days of the dust bowl. If you haven’t been to west Texas lately, you should visit it, just so you can appreciate your likely more abundant feed resources and green grass. This is a hard place for cattle, and without water and help from above, the ability to keep large numbers of cows is a tough proposition. The need to reduce this herd by a large number 1) because of drought and 2) because of Brandon’s growing business endeavors, became a large reality. Many hours have been spent in preparation for this large event. Special thanks to all the crew that spent time clipping and picturing. These cows have come on a great deal in the last month, with the departure of winter. Brandon knows these cows well and is second guessing this herd reduction. The prices of cattle and a demand for the good ones continues to increase every day. These cows have made a large impact on this program, many are proven producers. In April, as we walked through the cattle, Brandon knows each and everyone and what they are. He doesn’t need a paper or a tablet to tell you their record or their pedigree. These cattle will generate big return for their new owners. They are bred right and offer a great deal of possibility for many operations. Make plans to come to Lubbock for this “happening” weekend. We appreciate your time and interest and hope to see you there. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help facilitate your trip or interest.
