Here’s a real powerhouse bull to start the offering. Frost Proof has sired some successful cattle, including a powerful son that is at work in the Davis herd at Wheeler, Texas; they are sound and stout with lots of look and style. Raised by Ricky Gray, this leading sale lot is moderate and tremendously complete. He has AI potential and is good enough to clean up the most successful cow herds in any part of the country.

FULL SIB TO TROUBADOUR

Troubadour Full sibs sell as Lots 3–9

A high selling Troubadour daughter from the 2013 COC Sale

Selling 7 full sibs to Troubadour! Seven full sibs to Troubadour and No Spin Zone sell October 27th. The 410 cow continues to shell out the good ones. The brothers that we sold in the summer of 2014 were well accepted, and you will like these. You come be the judge and see which one will best complement your cow herd. We think there is a good deal of AI potential in these bulls as well as being a great opportunity to have one running in your pastures. There will be no more semen collected on Troubadour, and very little exists. We know of less than 400 units that are owned by the original owners.

ET brothers sell as Lots 3–9. The 410 donor has been one of the best producing females on the ranch in our existence. This is likely why the daughters of Troubadour are becoming so popular. The presence of a good cow family can be one of the most important things in the quest for consistency. This bull has good muscle expression and lots of style. L O T L O T L O T

Troubadour success…

The Cream of the Crop sire Troubadour sired the Grand Champion Steer at San Antonio in 2014, to highlight his growing list of accomplishments. He has also sired many other champion steers and heifers. His biggest accomplishment, however, may be the success of his daughters. Several high dollar steers and herd bull prospects are emerging out of Troubadour daughters. At seven years of age, he is still sound and looks great, but he has not frozen semen in over a year. He has sired leading sires such as Werewolf (Olsen), Yellowstone (Yocham), Choppin’ Wood and Steamroller (Lautner). Troubadour will not be collected again and will likely be deceased by sale time.
