Anissa is the perfect example of a show heifer turned donor cow. Chance led Anissa out of many shows as a decorated Champion. As she became a donor, it was success again. Her flushing ability has led her out of our donor pen here to the Elite sale. Her Monopoly steer was Champion Steer at the 2012 NILE for Tyler Shockley from Wyoming. Another Heat Wave steer out of Anissa won a tough county fair in Texas for the Parker Friedrich family. Anissa offers as much power, bone and rib shape as any in the sale offering. Yet, her big foot makes her a super sound cow with a great look. If you are looking to color your world, don’t miss this one! T100 is safe in calf to Man Among Boys. Color! Color! Color!

If you like good cattle you will love this one. Laila is bold sprung and a good bodied donor. She offers the look of low input with added power needed in today’s industry. In addition, S84 is a long fronted cow with a super attractive profile. Laila’s show record was impeccable; Jr. National Percentage Heifer, Supreme Heifer Wyoming State Fair, Division Champion Shorthorn Plus at Louisville, KY and Champion Percentage Charolais Heifer at National Western Stock Show. With that said, she produced the 2011 Jr. National Percentage Charolais for the Elder family of Texas. It’s easy to see why we are high on this female… the mating options are endless and the opportunity is here. Laila is bred to CJB Felony U603 (now deceased). This is a real POWER COW from the heart of Blackford’s Donor Pen. We all

Donor Dams & Foundation Young Cows

know how popular and sought after these Irish Whiskey daughters are and for good reason. We appreciate Josh sharing such a great cow with the Western Elite. Josh acquired this female as a $14,000 featured heifer calf at a past Exposure Sale. 28R is much more than just another Whiskey…she is incredibly stout in her makeup, big bodied and massive topped. This one is really good on her feet and legs and has a killer look. She is safe to Believe In Me for an early calf. We are betting a call to Searsboro next summer will yield great returns. THE SKY’S THE LIMIT!!!

Here is a beautiful balanced Whiskey daughter from the Donor Pen at Blackford’s. This is Josh’s first time to offer cattle at the Western Elite and he brought the goods. This female is elegant through her front one third, long and level in her top and awesome through her hip and hind leg. She is a stout made, nice haired female with the profile and look of a great breeding piece. She is safe to Uprising and will have a percentage Simmental that is sure to impress. She is a unique female that has the potential to raise club calves and breeding cattle.

Here is another cow that has earned her way to the front of the offering.

6042 has been a favorite at DCC for several years. The only reason she sells is we have farm payments to make just like many of you do and we have a daughter to replace her (if that is possible). She is old school genetics that just keeps getting it done. This cow is huge in her hip and rear quarter and massive in her top and center body. She is a great necked clean patterned female with exceptional balance and mobility. She has the power and kind to put you in the driver’s seat. The Monopoly she’s carrying will get you on the BLOG!!

Videos Online We debated long and hard on offering this one. I’m not here to tell you that she is the next great steer mamma. But, I will assure you that this female has as much maternal potential as any in this or any other offering. The Total Recalls are just flat awesome cows (this happens to be the stoutest one I’ve ever seen) and 9086’s Silver Bullet mother is about as good as it gets. This is a deep, massive cow that is built like we want them. Wide Open (her service sire) is really making his mark. To date we haven’t offered many of them but when we do they are high. Both sexes are highly marketable and his first crop daughters that calved last spring

One of the best Sire investments I Lot 9, 10 and 13. Consistent quality and balance best describes these cattle. 9092 is a long necked, level topped cow that is stout hipped and stunning from the profile. She is out of a great Irish Whisky dam that certainly earned her keep at DCC. She is safe to Monopoly and if the one she is carrying is anything like the one she had last year, her new owner will be one happy camper. Actually, all three of the Blue Bloods in the sale had Monopoly’s last spring that were exceptionally good. Remember, consistent quality and proven performance.

What a beautiful female! These Tyson’s really are good cattle. Tyson is an Ali

son that I own with Core’s who goes back to a great line of females that started with Sweet Cheeks, who was National Champion Maine Female in Kansas City over twenty years ago. 9008 gets the attention of everyone who goes in the pen. She is so attractive and well balanced in a moderate framed, stout enough package. This female is good haired and as smooth, clean and straight in her lines as you can make one. Again the Monopoly she is carrying will likely get you in the list of Success Stories of The Western Elite.

She is a gorgeous, feminine, well balanced female that has the proven ability to generate males and females with value. She was AI’d to a bull of Sojka and Hustons that Grant had on display in Denver the last two years. Summit is an awesome balanced Black Baldy ¾ Maine Bull that is a Hard Drive x Ali x Meyer. They just keep coming!!! Another off the top of the DCC cowherd. We haven’t talked much yet about the influence of the great Meyer 734 but we are about to. You will find the influence of Meyer in the majority of the cows at DCC. 9041 is a stunning individual out of a great cow and is safe to Monopoly…that’s a hard combination to beat. She has got that signature Blue Blood neck and body and is as clean and correct as you can make one. Her yearling Monopoly daughter is a standout in an incredible pen of replacements at DCC.

She is beautiful through her neck and front one third and is a big ribbed female that is thick and powerful from behind. She is out of a great Meyer dam that never misses. Here come the baldys!!! And what a way to start. 8007 is a power cow that

Donor Dams & Foundation Young Cows

is truly difficult to part with. She is a great necked beautiful fronted young female that is perhaps the stoutest of the Meyer Granddaughters to sell. This is the kind of females that pay the bills at DCC and only at the Western Elite do you get the chance to buy proven producers of this caliber. Whether you desire to make steers or breeding cattle this female has the power, look, pedigree and proof to quickly find her way to the Donor Pen.

Here is the First Wide Open to sell and she’s been here twice. The first

Donor Dams & Foundation Young Cows

time was in dam at the 2011 Western Elite. Her mother was Lot 2 and a real crowd favorite of that offering that was purchased by Blackford Show Cattle from IL and was the second high seller. We are tickled to have Josh be a part of this event and especially happy to have this particular female. She is the only three year old in the sale and one of the first crop Wide Open daughters. These ladies are exceptionally good cows. She reminds me so much of her mother. Although her mother was the second high seller that night, I truly thought she was the bargain of the

Lot 19 - Blackford Wide Open 129

sale.

This is a really good young cow that is far better than her picture. She just refused to give it up in the picture pen. The video is probably better but I haven’t seen it yet. So, you are going to have to believe me or see her with your own two eyes. A couple of years ago I called a cow the most underrated picture in the sale, she cost John and Angie Graves about five grand and raised an $18,000 heifer the first year. This may just be the 2014 version. The cow is just really complete… good necked, big bodied and thick ended yet feminine and super balanced. The Man Among Boys an board this one should be big time.

Blackford • 754 • Black • Spring 2007 SIRE: Special Design (PB Angus) DAM: Montana Truck (PB Angus) A.I. 6/8 Man Among Boys • Safe AI

Here is a straight Angus cow from Blackford’s that I think is really neat. Her mother is by Montana Truck who I thought was a great breeding bull and a unique individual. It’s been many years ago but I was around a lot of these cattle. Just like 754, they are long necked, clean made cattle with more bone and power than you would expect a straight Angus to have. Here is a beautiful balanced cow with a lot of look and power.

Lot 22- Duello 9044

Duello • 9044 • Black • Spring 2009 SIRE: Multi Sire Maine DAM: Chi Angus A.I. 5/23 Monopoly Clone • Safe AI

This cow is probably way too good to be this far down in the catalog but I hope it’s apparent how deep this offering is and there is only so much space available. Enough of that. 9044 had a Monopoly heifer calf last spring that is exceptionally good…I bet she will be a feature in the 2015 Western Elite. The cow herself has tremendous dimension and power with a great neck, shoulder and hind leg. You will want to see this one.

Lot 23 - Duello Meyer 9251

Duello • 9251 • Black Baldy • Spring 2009 SIRE: Meyer 734 Son DAM: Angus A.I. 6/8 Man Among Boys • Safe AI

9251 is another super productive Meyer granddaughter that has been real good to us. This is the first time we have mated her for a steer and I think it should be exciting. This cow is exceptionally good through her front one third and is real deep sided. She has a long level rump, a good hind leg with the stretch, look and balance to really make this mating work. Her Troubadour daughter sells as Lot 89.

Lot 24 - Duello Paddy O 7540

Duello • 7540 • Black • Fall 2007 SIRE: Paddy O Malley DAM: Angus A.I. 6/7 Man Among Boys • Safe AI

This Paddy O daughter has a lot of power. She may have as much hip and top shape as there is in the offering. 7540 displays tremendous rib shape and body substance in a clean and attractive package. Here is a cow with tremendous club calf potential. She has tremendous mating versatility and may be a home run mated Char for slick or haired exhibitions. This is a double bred Meyer that is double good. She is a beautiful fronted, feminine designed black baldy that is super good from the profile. Balance best describes her and Monopoly will compliment her kind and pedigree. Don’t overlook her just because she didn’t get a big picture.

9230 is the productive kind of Meyer granddaughter that will pay the bills. She is real level designed and a good necked female that is complete in her kind and attractive in her profile. She has always been mated maternal to date and I bet the Monopoly she is carrying can work either way.

Here is one that is way too far down the order but it’s too late to change now. Look for her in one of the front two pens when you get to Denver. This Black and White beauty is absolutely massive. She is huge through the center of her rib cage, unbelievable down her top and a Mack Truck from behind. Troubadour semen is getting hard to get…take advantage of this one. When you get to see the shape, power and volume of this Foundation daughter it seems to make you daydream of the possibilities of matings that one could breed this one to and make awesome steers. 37’Zs dam is working in Iowa for Chidester Cattle and she raised one of his top steers this year. Those good ones that can raise sound stout calves are getting hard to find then when you do it is hard to get them bought. Take a chance here I think the upside is worth it. Heifer or bull out of I-80 here would work .

As I hope you can see that we have arranged the bred heifers by pedigree instead of just by quality. When sorted by quality only, this female races to the front of the pack…and what a great way to preview the first crop of Poison Arrow daughters. My old Buddy Dr. Jeff Holmes did me a big favor when he suggested I buy

is quite a breeding bull. This female will make heads turn. She is a BIG TIME SALE FEATURE that just screams DONOR. Her neck comes high out of her shoulder, she displays extreme muscle shape and dimension of body and she is a big boned, smooth made,

Check out the neck, body, flank and hip in this great female!!! Her mother is an incredible Blue Blood daughter that sells as the Featured Lot 10 in this offering. It is so rare to find cattle with this much depth, softness and mass with a neck that

36Z traces back to the great Jacque 117P cow who has produced champions for Bauman and DeRouchey such as; KASS Kojack, KASS Cool Whip, Sister C, Material Girl, Samantha, Jail Bait, Jaxson and Felony. This red and white heifer is why the Charolais breed has become so popular in the Club Calf industry. She is sound, big bellied, good boned and big flat footed. Wonder how good her I-80 calf will be!!! 36Z was bred and raised by Ian & Kassi Glassman. 36Z is bred to I-80 on 5-17-2013 and is ultra sound safe.

The quality runs deep. This is an excellent Poison Arrow out of the Lot 23 cow in the sale. She is really a neat marked baldy with lots of quality. She is a pretty necked, good balanced female that is long, level and clean made. She is Safe to 928U the sire of the impressive Lot 69.

• The Western Elite and the atmosphere of the National Western is a great place to feature young sires. In 2011, the sale added some elite bull prospects to the line-up. The past three years have seen some powerful prospects offered. In 2011, Big River was the second highest selling bull of all breeds in the yards at $45,000. That same year Sting sold for $20,000. In 2012 Sugar and One Hot Summer commanded $22,000 and $12,000 respectively. Then in 2013 Fever Pitch sold for $17,500 to Duello. These bulls are being used today in our programs.

• You know he is good by the picture and video but you will never really appreciate how good… until you see him in person. This bull has more power in an attractive, agile, flexible package than I have ever witnessed. If you generally like the Monopoly cattle but wish they just had more to them…THEN YOU HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER. • This Bull is HONESTLY BIG where the rest of them aren’t…he is not only big in his hip, deep sided, good looking and hairy. He has a massive top, and matches it with real rib shape, center body dimension, base width and depth of flank. The amazing muscle shape and dimension starts through his hip and top and continues clear to his hock… like it’s supposed to. He is unprecedented in the amount of stifle, twist and forearm he displays. And with all this power he is loose in his design, correct in his pattern and absolutely as sound as a cat… because, he has the right angle to his skeleton. This bull is smooth in his design, great profiling, great haired, clean made and has a monster hind leg!!! • THIS BULL REDEFINES BALANCE…It shouldn’t be used only to describe how one proportions or fits together from the side view (however, he does that extremely well) it needs to describe the whole creature. What puts him in a “league of his own” is he has SKELETAL BALANCE, DIMENSIONAL BALANCE AND POWER, ALONG WITH A KILLER LOOK FROM THE SIDE. • His sire needs no Introduction as he is undoubtedly the MOST DOMINATE SHOW CATTLE SIRE in the business and his UNBEILEVABLE MOTHER enhances him genetically with BALANCE, POWER and CONSISTENCY. We will use him heavily! V i e w t h e v i d e o p r e v i e w o f e a c h lo t at w www w w. w e s t e r n e l i t e f e m a l e s . c o m

Troubadour Sire To Lot B

Tattoo 303A • Silver Baldy • BW: 88 • Calved 4/2/13 Sire: Troubadour Dam: Donor 7522 -Alias x Meyer 734 Granddaughter

Selling 1/2 Semen Interest and Fall Possession

Lot B1 - Three full sib embryos to Masterpiece Lot B2 - Three full sib embryos to Masterpiece

• If you haven’t been around many Troubadours I hope the daughters we have brought to you the last three sales have helped your appreciation of them. He is a really consistent and unique breeding bull…You give him a decent cow he’ll give you a “GOOD ONE”. You give him a good cow he will give you a “REAL GOOD ONE”. You give him a great cow and they will give you a “MASTERPIECE”!!! • This incredible Silver Baldy’s mother is a REAL POWER COW that stands at the head of the pack in Duello’s Donor Pen. She never misses… she doesn’t just have good calves, she has great litters. It’s unfortunate that Troubadour semen is getting so hard to come by…but the “glass may be half full” as January 18th may be the day to buy the son that replaces him. • This bull also fits my definition of balance that I “got on the soap box” when talking about his brother on the opposite page. Mike and I are absolutely crazy about this calf and plan to use him heavily at DCC. The Troubadour cattle mature a little different…we like them as calves and as short yearlings but from about that time on, they get it on!!! This young bull has really started to turn the crank the last thirty days and by Sale time he will be a real stud. • He has got a lot of shape and flare down his top and is a great hipped bull with exceptional dimension through his hip and stifle. Like all the Troubadours, he is so impressive in the way he blends from his front and shoulder in to his body. This bull is beyond impressive in the shape to his center and upper rib...he has a lot of flank and a hind leg to die for.
