Alittle bit about Jay & Britt! Jay, 30, grew up in Columbia and lived in Myrtle Beach, SC for almost a decade. Britt, 29, grew up outside of Today, they both work for Tom McGraths Motorcycle Law Group. Jay is the State Event Coordinator, and Britt is the SC attorneys legal assistant. Philly, PA, and moved to Myrtle Beach, SC for the last 5 years. This is also how they met; they worked the MB Bike Rally together at SBB. Recently, they have moved to Elgin, SC. Next, we asked Jay; “Do you have any favorite roads you ride in SC?” “THE UPSTATE AND HWY 11 AREA OR THE FARM LAND BACK ROADS AROUND OUR HOUSE NOW! I LOVE THE His bike is a 2004 FXD Dyna- heavily modified 1999- Softail- Chop-“Creature Comfort”- one of the CURVES AND SIGHTS YOU CAN SEE WHEN YOU GET OFF THE MAIN ROADS!” -Jay first Harleys Jay built almost 8 years ago. It is heavily modified and nothing left on it is stock. You won’t see another one like it! Jay’s First Bike he ever rode was a Ural with a side car. He has been riding since 16. Whereas, Britt grew up on dirtbikes and atvs. She has been on the 99 Softail Chop Jay, Do you have Any Advice for New Riders? “Do what your comfortable with, ride what your comforatable on. It’s about the sights you see when you go riding not how fast you can get there, its all about the adventure.” for almost a year and a half. The one question we always enjoy asking couples.... We asked Jay about how he got involved in the bike community? He responded; “I’ve been involved in the bike community since I moved to the beach in 2010. I started tinkering on bikes and riding a lot at the beach plus working on friends bikes.” Who is the better rider? Jay responed with a very “safe answer”; “Better rider: I’d say I am, just from having more experience! BUT, Britt is truly a natural from the first time she saddled up on a bike.” ~Great answer Jay!!

The Couple that rides together stays together. What started out as friendship ended up as a true love story. Jay Wright and Britt Metz met for the first time at a fall bike week in Myrtle Beach, both working at SBB. From the first time they met, Jay knew it was something different. From then on these two grew to become best of friends. Jay a local motorcycle enthusiast and hobbyist built numerous bikes and hot rods as well as ran a local carnival style entertainment business. Britt was a local bartender and had the passion for motorcycles, and the biker community. The next few years these two grew closer and closer and fell into a true biker’s romance, traveling and riding and enjoying adventures together. Almost two years ago Jay stumbled upon a job opportunity of lifetime and was hired on as the SC events Coordinator for Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group. He took charge and has been running all over the state helping support local motorcycle events, club, riding groups, and help promoting rider safety and the protecting of motorcycle rights. Jay and Britt work all over the state attending and sponsoring local rides, benefits, and fundraisers. As well as educating riders of rider safety and how to properly self-protect yourself in the case of motorcycle related accidents or incidents.

After a year and a half, the job leads these two on another adventure. Britt was hired on to be the SC Legal Assistant for Chad and Katie Fuller. Britt and Jay are engaged and to be married this Halloween of 2020. Britt happily accepted the position and these two commuted from the beach to Columbia for the next few months, until they were able to find their first home to purchase together. In which they relocated and moved to the capital city. With in all the time, the have been planning a wedding, Jay taught Britt to ride her own bike, relocated to a new town to start their next chapter of their lives. You can see these two or some of the workers at nearly all the events happening around the state. As they are there to remind people that Tom McGraths Motorcycle Law Group is there for you. We are there to help protect your rights on and off the road and how to help educated yourself on the knowledge of self-protection yourself in case of an accident before it occurs and is too late. Britt and Jay admire their employers; Chad and Katie Fuller, the local SC attorneys for Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law Group. They jumped on board to help grow and educated as many motorcyclists as they can. They hope to continue what Chad and Katie have started in SC and help grow it into something even larger than they already are.
