Ayo, Charger Check! This month was something else, with our first two meetings blowing our expectations out of the water. This month was pretty busy in terms of helping new members familiarize themselves with Key Club, especially with the division and district releasing information about MRP and Kiwanis. Overall, this month was a key month for new members and old ones to connect and get in the groove with Key Club. The DCM was something else, too, since it was a Minecraft themed one, with all of us entertained. All of this comes right before RTC season, and I hope that with our passions renewed for KC, we all get ready to cheer (virtually) at the Region Training Conference!
Sincerely,

Hey Key Clubbers! Welcome back to the newsletter :) As of right now, we’re about halfway through the first quarter and we’re really getting into groove of things. I hope that with this exciting month (where we had our first meeting with so many members!!), we all really start feeling that Key Club burn again. I know with everything being virtual, it’s hard to feel passionate about these things, but I’m so proud of everyone’s efforts so far. This was also a cool month since we, the division, and the district all had events for new members to learn more about the workings of Key Club, especially for the first year members. We had our annual Camp Key Club, where we basically introduced members to what the club is about; the division also hosted a Q&A where they answered everyone’s questions. And the district had a webinar all about MRP. I hope that with everything settling, members continue to stay involved. President out, newsletter in!
Sincerely,

Given the circumstances, the Clark board was floored and honored by the amazing meetings we had right off the bat. We had about 100 members sign up with an almost equal turnout rate, with plenty of new members and freshman. It was overall a very exciting note to start off the school year with and we’re very excited to keep the same energy!

This year’s Camp Key Club was definitely different from past years, but I still enjoyed attending it. It was really nice to see all the members who came back from last year as well as new members. I really liked the icebreakers that were played in each breakout room because it helped me get to know more of the newer members. And of course, learning about key club and what the organization has to offer is always very rewarding. -Jennifer Ly
Camp KC was definitely an interesting experience. Since I've never been to one before, and this year is virtual, AND I actually hosted a workshop, it was very different. It was fun to meet everyone, even if I couldn't see their faces. I truly hope that it was fun as well for everyone involved. Even with pretty bad circumstances, I'm actually really excited and looking forward to the next camp or workshop Clark hosts! -Snow Ma

On September 13th, members across the Cali-Nev-Ha district gathered to learn about Member Recognition. From our division, we had a total of thirteen participants, with quite a few from Clark

On September 22nd, Division 28 South held their monthly DCM! This one was a very neat one as it was Minecraft themed, and we had a nice little trivia game in Minecraft led by the division EA. The EA, Jonathan, also gave a presentation on our preferred charities and fundraisers.

From Snow Ma, one of the speakers at the Q&A, The Freshman Q&A was pretty exciting! I've been a member for two (this is my third year) now, so it's always a little eye opening to meet new members and freshman. It really makes me nostalgic to think back on when I was a ďŹ rst year and how clueless I was. It was also really exciting to meet people from the newly (almost) installed club-- Bishop Gorman's Key Club. Although we've been working on opening the club for a few months now on the division level, it was really cool to actually see BG kids go to an event. I also presented at the Q&A, but that was kind of a wreck for me and I will simply use the experience as a learning and growth moment. Overall, very exciting and somewhat nerve wracking (although I highly encourage anyone and everyone to attend the next Q&A available since new things are happening soon).
On September 26th, Division 28 South held a freshman (and new member) Q&A!
Topics covered included key terms, Kiwanis, hierarchy, charities, and more!
