Hey Clark Chargers!
Hope all of you are having an amazing break after finals! It’s been an intense month of clark key club, thank you for coming to events despite the all the schoolwork and studying that comes with the month of December. I also wanted to thank you for reading the 7th issue of chargers corner, even though it’s a bit late <3. I’m so excited for the second semester as we go to more new events. Make sure to follow @clarkeyclub for the newest updates, plans, and events for the month of december!
Charging with service,

Aloha! Happy Holidays! December has been such a compact month from FRS, the DCM, our banquet, and the holidays coming up, time is very precious. That being said, I am so proud and appreciative of everyone who participated in the events we held for this month. It was a condensed but very productive month. Everything is good in moderation and after a semester of key clubbing, each and every one of you deserve a nice break! I hope you have a restful winter break and I’ll see you next year!
Serving as if it’s my last,

ROCK PAINTING SOCIAL "Since I totally forgot to bring some of my old t-shirts, one of my friends brought a lot and we cut her t-shirts into dog toys. I found it really fun. Just braiding the fabric reminded me of how I used to braid my sister's hair. My friend even did a four-stranded braid which was cool. Nevertheless, I'm glad I got to bond with my fellow members. We were also helping the community too! Thank you for hosting a very enjoyable service event!!!" - Melissa Leonor
"Attending the movie social was extremely fun! I loved making the dog toys with the old shirts. I also enjoyed making the letters for teachers that deserve appreciation for their hard work and effort they put for us! The movie was amazing because I admire the artwork and graphics. Watching the movie was really stress relieving because it was very comforting and relaxing. Overall, I had an amazing time and I hope we can do more social events like this :)" - Princess Yambao

"hii i had a lot of fun at the movie social yesterday !! making the dog toys reminded me of my freshman year rtc when we also made dog toys in one of our workshops :) It was really nice to have a fun lil arts n crafts moment with the toys and the cards for the teachers, which also gave me an opportunity to thank some of my teachers from last year for what they’ve done for us, especially online. i also really enjoyed the movie bc i <3 ghibli but i’m pretty sure i may have tripped on someone in the dark lol…" -
"Going to the canned drive x movie social was an absolute blast. I had to pay $14.99 for the movie but it was worth it if it meant our amazing members got to have fun together watching My Neighbor Totoro <3 I got to learn how to make dog toys, we had an overloaded bag full of dog toys to donate to animal shelters by the end of the event as well as a trolley full of canned goods for us to donate to a canned food drive!" "The Magical Forest at Opportunity Village was a really fun event and put me into the Christmas mood. I really enjoyed helping people on and off the carousel. I also enjoyed using the bubble gun and watching people smile as they get bombarded by bubbles. It was a soft opening so there weren’t that many people but everyone there was having a good time and I was happy to be a part of it." Antonio Le
"Opportunity Village was a pretty chill event. I got to work at the carousel and we just cleansed all the animals and made sure that all the kids were seat-belted correctly. We also got to ride on it every time we started (I rode it 30+ times). During the break I was able to go on the different rides with my friends as well and get some food. Overall it was a really fun and chill event and I would volunteer again." - Casey Chiao
"My experience at the soft opening for Opportunity Village was that it was very fun. Not only did we volunteer for a good cause, it was pretty fun hanging out with my friends while volunteering. I really enjoyed volunteering. I really enjoyed volunteering here and it was overall a very positive experience." - Bhavya Tiwary

"The Santa Run volunteer event was a fun and interesting experience, and I loved seeing so many people running and making it through everything. It was fun handing out waters and motivating the runner's, as well as helping around with setting up booths and helping all over. We helped make tables, guide people, and helped around certain booths of other brands/organizations." - Teresa Duque

"I went to FRLV 2021-2022! The cheer session was held at a venue inside Opportunity Village and it was absolutely amazing getting to reunite with old friends and to celebrate Key Club with like-minded members! I’m so happy for D28N who won the region stick for winning the cheer session as well as DO who won the division stick for winning the cheer session at RTC! Afterwards, my friends and I got to enjoy our time at Magical Forest, where we rode on the Teacups and the scenic Express Train. Overall, FRLV was amazing and I can’t wait for next years <3" Abigail Herrera
"So I had an amazing time at FRS. I enjoyed doing the cheers and just hyping everyone up and I met some amazing people there from other schools that are in Key Club as well and I just enjoyed hanging out with everyone and I can't wait to do it again!" - Katherine Hernandez

"This was my first ever banquet at Clark and in my life if I’m being honest. I couldn’t be more honored to have attended and participated in Key Club's banquet. It’s definitely an event that I won’t forget!! The food was also delicious and I had an amazing time. The way it was organized was also amazing!! I could tell how much work and dedication the officers really put into this event, especially since there hasn’t been an in-person banquet in two years. Thank you for such a great time 😁" - Daneida Chavez
"Attending the Winter Banquet was an amazing experience! The inductees were rewarded for their hard work and efforts they put for Clark Key Club. The board did an outstanding job setting up the seats and tables. Congratulations to all the inductees and I look forward for more amazing events in the future! I would also like to personally thank Clark Key Club for making my life 10x better <33" - Princess Yambao
