The sensory experience between the architectural object and those who encounter it is being highlighted to create emotion-evoking design through exploration of space, material and building elements. Corresponding to Aristotle’s “four causes”, we define Coal Play in terms of four elements: the efficient cause - ‘UoS students‘ the material cause - ‘performativity expositions‘ the formal cause- ‘senses, emotions & memories‘ the final cause- ‘interactively outreach‘ Coal Play, a medium of the demonstration of the expressive potential of the students, while simultaneously being an arena for the students to express the feelings, ideas and values with the people. Through the play, it envisages to outreach students’ immaterial skills and opens up their future opportunities.
