A Mover And Shaker (Part 1) Series – JESUS – Part 3 Pastor Chuck Bernal – 03-08-15 And when He comes [The Messiah], then the eyes of the blind will be opened. And the ears of those who cannot hear will be opened. Then those who cannot walk will jump like a deer. And the tongue of those who cannot speak will call out for joy. (Isaiah 35:5-6 – NLV) . . . Jesus . . . asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" . . . He then asked them, "But who do you say I am?". Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!” (Matthew 16:13, 15-16 – GWT) God is God and only He can do things that mere humans cannot do. Jesus Himself claimed to be God. So, if Jesus was God, naturally He would have been able to perform miracles. And Jesus did just that. He healed the sick, walked on water and even raised the dead. These miracles helped to support his claim that He was the one true God come to earth to save mankind. (Chuck Swindoll)
WHY JESUS PERFORMED MIRACLES Jesus did many other miracles in the presence of his followers that are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Then, by believing, you may have life through his name. (John 20:30-31 – NCV)
