You know you are headed for trouble when . . .


. . . you’re continually becoming obsessed!


Work is the only thing in your life


We must recognize the nature of work


Then the Lord God planted a garden in the east, in a place called Eden. He put the man he had formed in that garden . . . The Lord put the man in the garden to care for it and work it. (Genesis 2:8,15)


VIEWPOINT 1:


We see work is a curse (It is our punishment for sin)


VIEWPOINT 2:


Work is a passion (It is our reason for living)


VIEWPOINT 3:


Work is a gift (It is our purpose from God)


. . . it is good for a man to enjoy his work whatever his job may be . . . to enjoy your work and to accept your lot in life . . . that is indeed a gift from God. (Ecclesiastes 5:18-19)

God wants us to be FRUITFUL & FULFILLED on your job This is called CONTENTMENT


Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord . . . He is the one you are really working for. (Colossians 3:23-24)


Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)



HERE ARE 5 WAYS TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!


Approach your work with a sense of calling, not obligation


Mark your work with a commitment to excellence, not mediocrity


Do your work with a positive attitude, not with grumbling and complaining


Use your work as a platform for promoting Christ not for promoting yourself


Find your personal fulfillment in God, not in your job


Come to me all of you who are weary and worn down by the stresses and pressures of life, and I will give you rest. (Jesus, Matthew 11:28)
