FAITH THAT CHANGES THINGS
February
2010
It is a creative wonder that after such cold winter with snow and ice, things still grow! To see plants pushing forth, buds forming, snowdrops flowering, lifts our soul and is a promise of a spring and summer to come. God brings revelation through nature.

“Embarking on a
new venture has
been a journey of
faith
and
Discovery”
Taking a first step or riding a bike without stabilisers, momentus occasions in anyone’s life. They take a great deal of faith, it doesn’t happen over night and has its variety of ups and downs. Embarking on a new venture like regenerate has been certainly a journey of faith and discovery.
The intention from the start has been to put something into place that is directly missional, something that engages with people who cannot necessarily get to church on a Sunday morning or have negative preconceptions about Sunday morning would be like. Ultimately the Sunday evening would feed the Sunday morning and people would become integrated into church life through first coming on a Sunday evening. It is great that as a Church we continue to open doors for people to come in....

Solomon wrote in his Song “Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away, for behold the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come”. Personalising this as His people may be a little too romantic for some but it is the heart of the Father and His strong emotions express themselves in numerous loving ways. Faith puts its trust in this unseen God and holds onto his promises even when in a winter season. And like all seasons, winter comes to an end moving into spring and things break forth. It is a good season to be in. ‘It’s a New Day’, a day of fresh faith for God’s promises to be fulfilled evidenced in His works of power that reveal His love. Faith sustains, faith holds onto God, faith is certain of things hoped for, faith prays, and faith gives glory to God knowing he has the power to do what he has promised (Romans 4:20-21). As we arise and follow Jesus he leads us into the love of God and an increasing revelation of his works of love demonstrated in salvation, healing, and provision . He is a great sovereign God, mighty in power, awesome in splendour, working miracles and worthy of our trust and adoration. So let’s arise and come away with Him.
