1- Wildfire Church In The Peak
By Dave Harper “Without vision the people perish” says the Bible, in fact they become absorbed in the immediate and the short term having no sight of a destination or a greater sense of purpose. This leads to distraction and frustration resulting in a “throwing off of restraint” (Prov 29:18). Prophetic revelation is a wonderful gift from the Father, helping his people find the promised land of their day. Abraham was the first to be called a prophet, with a promise of land to inherit and children to be born though he knew not where or when! He obeyed, following God’s leading and received what was promised and his faith is the example the Bible urges us to imitate. In fact he is called our father in the faith and we are called to “walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had”. (Romans 4:12). My youngest
daughter used to tease me and call me’ Father Abraham’, little did she realise the truth that we are all called to walk like him! Church in the Peak was birthed out of prophetic revelation. This occurred repeatedly over a period of time from a variety of sources. A particular verse in the prophet Isaiah’s book impacted us and ‘lived’ with us under the prophetic anointing: ‘I will make rivers flow on barren heights and springs within the valleys’ Isaiah 41:18. This is a promise from God, a promise of what He will do and create. Over the years God has helped us fill in the detail and grow in revelation of his purpose for us and its application as well as stretching us again and again to believe for an impact and involvement into the nations and regions beyond.
