Adding a Harvard Style Reference List using


Using Liberty


You are working on your assignment and have used a quote (In-text citation)‌


You need to be able to justify your quotation by stating in your assignment the following‌


Who is responsible for the information - Authorship When was this made available - Year What is it called - Title Where do I find it – Publication or Website details


Click on your page, the reference will appear after your quote‌


Click on the Reference tab at the top of your screen ‌


Select Insert Citation


Add New Source


A Create Source box appears


Make sure you select Show All Bibliography Fields


Select the Type of Source here.


Fill in everything that has a Red Asterisk


Your Reference will then appear. Right click inside the brackets, select Edit Citation and add your page number


Fill in the page number


Your Reference is complete


Repeat this process each time you add a further Reference‌


Check the Source Type


It is recommended that you use a variety of resources


However: you can use the same resource again‌

As the information is already there…


Just remember to Edit Citation to change the page number‌


Add a new page at the end of your assignment to create your Reference List


Use the Reference tab again


Select Bibliography


Click on Works Cited


Select the heading and change it to Reference List


A Reference List includes everything that you have quoted in your assignment.


The purpose of a Bibliography is to evidence that you are reading around your subject.
