ABOUT US Baltimore Fashion Week is the annual fashion event held in Baltimore, Maryland. Its mission is to provide a platform for artists and designers who create “rack ready” garments for consumers. As A PRODUCTION, the design team of Baltimore Fashion Week works continually to make sure sponsors/contributors, guests, and participants of Baltimore Fashion Week leave with an understanding of how philanthropy engages with fashion. As An EVENT, Baltimore Fashion Week offers an elevated platform for designers to present collections to an audience of buyers, retail, and boutique owners creating an economic rebound within the fashion industry. As A MARKETING STRATEGIST, Baltimore Fashion Week’s design team works with each sponsors/contributor making sure that the proper target audience members are reached through its successful and creative uses of the social media circuits. These social medias include, but are not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and InstaGram. As A PHILANTHROPIC FASHION ENTHUSIAST, Baltimore Fashion Week specializes in reaching the right audience member. Throughout its 6 years of production, audience members continually engage in the events that are produced by Baltimore Fashion Week. Implementing philanthropic initiatives has received an overwhelming appreciation for fashion through its initiatives.

OUR MISSION & INITIATIVES Our VISION, Baltimore Fashion Week prides itself for offering designers a true fashion week experience with each collection it showcases. Baltimore Fashion Week will continue to offer designers a professional setting to display fashion collections to consumers. Our INITIATIVES, Baltimore Fashion Week is more than just an event it has been transformed into a philanthropic movement with a high concentration in fashion. Including components with this event that include several levels within the educational ladder is a must. Its initiatives include: Emerging Designer Competition this competition is only available to middle, high school, and college students. Each applicant must provide sketches of the intended garment. Linger Magazine is the “Title Sponsor” for this initiative.

Baltimore Fashion Week Scholarship Award began in 2010 and has been awarded since 2011 to 5 students. This is awarded each year to a select number of registered, full time students on track to earn an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in any educational field, but a higher preference is placed on applications for students majoring in Business Administration; Business Marketing; Business Management; Arts & Sciences; Journalism; Criminal Science; and/or Fine Arts from an accredited college or university.

Mentorship Program is a mentorship program through Urban Alliance of Baltimore. Urban Alliance’s mission is to empower under-resourced youth to aspire, work, and succeed through paid internships, formal training, and mentoring. Baltimore Fashion Week is proud to be a mentor to these youth (www.theurbanalliance.org).

BALTIMORE FASHION WEEK SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Corporate sponsors and partners of Baltimore Fashion Week have provided financial and in-kind support for Baltimore Fashion Week’s ongoing movement in the Arts for 5 years. These corporate donations also support the general operating fund, and continue to assist in the up-build of a platform for designers and artists. Baltimore Fashion Week 2013 will have over 1843 guests in 2013, creating a 26.4% increase over previous years. Beginning April 2013, Baltimore Fashion Week will add another vent to its production schedule. UNDER is the petite fashion event specifically for the petite consumer, which makes up to 45 Million petite consumers. As part of our corporate sponsorship program, organizations will be aligned with the philanthropic initiative, the Emerging Designer Competition, open to middle school through college level students; and the Baltimore Fashion Week Scholarship Award. 10% percentage of financial supports received will be donated to this award administered by its non-profit partner Nixon Development, Inc.
