FOUNDATION YEAR* The Foundation Year is designed to meet the needs of international students looking to study an undergraduate fashion degree at Istituto Marangoni. It is your first step towards a career in fashion.
It allows you to make an informed choice regarding the courses that best suit your skills and abilities.
UNDERGRADUATE Programme
The three term programme encompasses fashion and design related subjects, English language and study skills. You will experience new challenges, develop your ideas and advance your skills with creative projects and practical techniques. Once you complete the Foundation Year and achieve the required grades you can enter the first year of your chosen three-year undergraduate degree** at the London or Paris schools, or the first year of your chosen threeyear diploma at the Milan or Florence schools. Students who complete the programmes taught in English in Paris and London will be awarded with a BA (Hons) degree by Manchester Metropolitan University.

PROGRESSION DEGREES BA (Hons) FASHION DESIGN The aim of this course is to produce professionals with skills and knowledge in the field of fashion. The fashion designer inspires the creative ideas of the fashion world, managing creativity, technology, information and the understanding of fashion trends. The professional may work for their own company and additionally co-operate with several fashion firms and fashion studios both nationally and internationally. BA (Hons) FASHION STYLING The aim of this course is to prepare you to work in areas of visual communication, from publishing, advertising, visual merchandising and trend or style forecasting to blogging. By the end of the programme you will gain the ability to recognise different styles and trends, clearly define your personal vision of a product and propose innovative and professional ideas successfully. BA (Hons) FASHION BUSINESS The purpose of this course addresses issues related to the marketing and development strategies of a brand. The fashion manager analyses the competition and follows product development, planning, promotion and sales channels, collaborating with the design department and with all the production departments. They know the techniques of sales and marketing, define the price range and the target audience, and are skilled in coordinating business partners and employees.

The foundation course helps me learn about materials, colours, textures and many new techniques. It enhances the skills required for fashion design. The assignments are related to the stream you choose which gives you an insight into what you will be doing in your BA programme.

This policy will cover you for loss of personal possessions, travel delay, as well as providing medical insurance until the end of your ISC academic programme.
