The members of the Executive Council’s Financial Affairs Advisory Subcommittee met on January 19 to 21 at the CIAT headquarters. The Subcommittee is formed by Mr. Marty Lybbert, Manager of the Underground Economy Section, High Risk Compliance Strategy Division of the Revenue Canada Agency; Mr. Abelardo García Badilla, General Administrator of Resources and Services, of the Tax Administration Service of Mexico; Ms. Irene Carrizo, Plans and Programs Coordinator of the General Directorate of Revenues of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Panama (replacing Mr. Luis Cucalon, General Director of Revenues); and Mr. David Peguero, Finance Manager of the General Directorate of Internal Taxes of the Dominican Republic. The Subcommittee met to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on: The Executive Secretariat’s draft Annual Operational Plan and Budget for 20112012, to be considered by the Executive Council and subsequently by the General Assembly; The annual execution of the Budget and financial statements for 2010-2011; The audited financial statements through June 30, 2010. The Subcommittee periodically prepares reports and recommendations addressed to the CIAT Executive Council, in support of the Council’s financial supervisory responsibilities.
