The sloped site facilitated the school to be zoned in 4 levels, First one contains mainly the admin and kindergarden. Second level contains 5 classrooms and dining common hall. The third level contains library and 4 classrooms. Lowest level is left for playgrounds and other outdoor activities.

The site overlooks a paddy field and all the class rooms are oriented to have maximum view of the same. A flight of steps leads up to the classrooms from the ground. Courtyards and classsrooms are oriented inorder to provide maximum cross ventilation and in accordance with the contour.
The juxtapositioning of the dining hall and classrooms in different levels and a courtaryd in between offers a space suitable for daily assemblies and other gatherings, making it adjacent to all users including faculties and students. Traditional kerala architecture style is followed through out the design.

The entire masterplan is focused around the IIT library. Beign the lowest point in site, the library is designed as a dynamic and inspiring structure with all the elements taken in to consideration. The drainage of majority portion of the site is towards this point hence the water body is a ecologicaly and symbolicaly point of intrest. library is sourrounded by admin, hostels and accademic zones on its sides, making it the focus point.

The Library is one of the biggest facilities in the campus, with and area of 6000sqm, spread over 5 floors. On one side we have vehicular entry that takes a ramp upto the !st floor. On the other side of the building, students and faculties have a pedestrian entry. The main attraction of the building is its reading hall facing the southwest side which has a strong vertical and cantiliver feel. The fins helps to keep the harsh sun out and play a game of shadows. The water body infront also helps in setting the view.
18
19
The Library is thought of as a place for both work and joy. The pedestrian entry through the water body leads to a double height space that act as a outdoor garden area which is protected from the hot sun. The landscape is set in such a manner as to resemble a tropical garden that makes you forget one is inside a campus at all.

Designing with help of physical model really helped me in understanding the light and wind direction along with massing and scale.
22
One can walkthrough the campus passing through series of courtyards of varying depth and spatial quality.
23
The department block is symmetricaly planned along a central passage that connects to the main pedestrain spine. Each department block has multiple courtyards and small outdoor game facilities along with neccesary number of classrooms and laboratories required

The courtyards are long and tall and just enough wide to provide cover from the harsh sun during summer and nonstop rain in the winter time. The corridors are inspired from IIM, Banglore
