2nd International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade de Alcobaça” will be held from 10 to 15 April 2001 and has already opened entries Guidelines for the 2nd International Chamber Music Competition “Cidade de Alcobaça” are already know; these were presented on the morning of November 22 in a press conference at Cine-Teatro de Alcobaça 10 to 15 April 2011: these are the dates of the 2nd International Chamber Music Competition "Cidade de Alcobaça (CIMCA), which were announced through a press conference held on the morning of November 22 in the Pequeno Auditório of Cine- Teatro de Alcobaça – João d'Oliva Monteiro, a place that will receive the event in the next edition. At this meeting with press reporters, which was attended by Paulo Inácio, Mayor of the Municipality of Alcobaca (CMA), António Rosa, Artistic Director of the competition, and Rui Morais, Director of the Alcobaça Music Academy (AMA), it was also announced the official opening of entries for the competition which has the promotion of chamber music as one of its main goals. A novelty about CIMCA's next edition was the revelation of the names that will compose the jury competition: Antonio Rosa (Artistic Director) and Pedro Burmester, both repeat their presence, and in addition Alexandre Delgado, Hugo Assunção, António Oliveira, Luiz Fernando Pérez Herrero (Escuela Superior Reina Sofia, Madrid) and Gunter Pfitzenmaier (Staatliche Hochschule für Musik - Karlsruhe), figures that express once again the quality and distinction put in the selection of jurors. As for prizes, it was also announced that Junior Category winners will receive a prize of 3000 € (sponsored by the Foundation Inatel) and the chance to perform in concerts at Cistermúsica and Centro Cultural de Belém (CCB). For Senior Category, the prize will be 5000 €, with concerts at Cistermúsica, CCB and Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture.
