ANTONIO CITTERIO
Introducing Suita: an elegant, timeless sofa system from Vitra and Antonio Citterio. Featuring individual components that can be freely combined with multiple cushion options, Suita adapts to suit all kinds of design visions, individual styles and environments. Vitra and Citterio have a long history. Our collaborative design process, which has evolved over many years, has yielded some of our most iconic products: rigorous, subtle designs that combine functionality with light, decorative flair. Like George Nelson before him, Antonio Citterio is lauded for his systematic approach to structure, construction and materials. There is no place that his influence is more visible than in the modern sofa. Here, Citterio is the undisputed master. His unique combination of the iconic and the imaginative has had an unparalleled influence on contemporary living.
Architect and designer Antonio Citterio (b. 1950) has been working with Vitra since 1985.

System OVERVIEW
CHOOSE YOUR SETUP
The basic elements of the Suita Sofa system can be used as single elements, or they can be mixed and matched to suit all kinds of living spaces and furnishings needs.
TRAY & HEAD SECTION
03 FRAMES, TRAY & HEAD SECTION
Mounted on the back edge of the sofa in freestanding configurations, the tray (combined with a chair and a laptop) makes a perfect, casual workplace. If placed against a wall, the tray creates an additional shelf or decoration space. Some elements can be fitted with a head section that offers both support and serves as a barrier from noise and visual stimuli.
Suita features elegant frames made of polished, black-coated or white-coated aluminium. Each version gives a different look. Frames

Alexander Girard (1907–1993) Girard is one of the most influential figures in 20th-century American design. He did much of his ground-breaking work in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he was highly influenced by Central American folk art. His colored and patterned textiles are as fresh today as they were when they were first introduced over 50 years ago. Girard’s designs brings a sensual and playful element to contemporary furnishings. Alexander Girard’s motif cushion covers give the Suita Sofa a warm, personal look. Love, Snake, Sun, Retrospective Repeat, Square Diamonds, Geometric D © Alexander Girard Girard motifs are only available for pointed cushions in Olimpo pearl and Olimpo sandstone fabrics.

07 SUITA
Suita PeninsUla Configuration
Comfort: The seat and backrest are covered with classic fabric or leather and padded with foam and feather filling (available in different degrees of firmness). Construction: Suita has a compact structure made from welded and banded steel tubing covered with a thin layer of molded polyurethane foam. The die-cast aluminum legs and frame support high head sections or linoleumsurfaced trays.
Aesthetics: Suita has a look that is at once lightweight and technical. The precise geometry and soft padding of the body seem to float above the sleek, polished aluminum legs echoing classic, mid-century American design. Longevity: Like all of the products in the Vitra Collection, Suita elements and all covering materials are subjected to rigorous testing to ensure robust performance for years to come.
