BLACK LINES LAUNCHES 750ML SHARER BOTTLES

IT’S GOOD TO SHARE! We’re told it’s good to share, but classic sharing serves like Pimm’s can be livened up by using a different mixer to standard lemonade, such as Belvoir’s Cucumber & Mint Pressé. Alternatively, replace the sugar in a batch of regular Daiquiris or Tom Collins with Belvoir Elderflower Cordial for an added floral hint, or for something entirely new and fresh for spring, mix up a batch of Honey Suckle Fizz Punch.

HONEY SUCKLE FIZZ PUNCH 1 handful Mixed berries (fresh or frozen) 4 tablespoons Honey 40ml Lemon juice 40ml Gin 2 sprigs Tarragon 75cl bottle Belvoir Elderflower Pressé Mix all ingredients in a blender until the honey has dissolved. Pour the contents into a tumbler or large wine glass and garnish with ½ sprig of fresh tarragon and 1 tablespoon of mixed red berries. Belvoir’s range of Cordials, made without artificial sweeteners, flavourings, colourings or preservatives, can be used instead of cocktail syrups. Similarly, the natural Pressés are fantastic for replacing mainstream carbonates in cocktails or mocktails, and are inspiring alternative mixers with spirits. Interested in stocking Belvoir drinks? MINGLE WITH FOUR ROSES Spirit Cartel has introduced new sharing jugs for Four Roses Bourbon to help operators entice drinkers and increase sales over the spring and summer. Four Roses is unlike any other bourbon. Perhaps it’s because only Four Roses handcrafts and blends ten distinct and extraordinary bourbon recipes, a process known as “mingling”. The new metal sharing jugs, which are designed for four people, encourage whisky sharing and “mingling” between customers in a bar environment – particularly outdoor terraces. Not only do the jugs help improve the consistency of serves, they also provide a time efficient and cost effective solution for busy bartenders. For the warmer months, the team suggests mixing the Kentucky Peach Iced Tea, a combination of Four Roses Bourbon, lemons and peach iced tea, and serving in the new sharing jugs. If you want to implement Four Roses Jugs through the summer in your bar, email info@spiritcartel.com.

With its on-tap cocktail range already available at a number of figurehead venues, including the Harrods Dining Hall, Boxpark and Temper Covent Garden, Black Lines is soon to drop its first crop of 750ml sharer bottles. The first release includes three of Black Line’s hero serves: Paloma, Pear & White Tea Fizz and Elderflower Collins. Served at table with just glasses, ice and garnish, they make for a round of perfectly balanced cocktails. Pre-release, they’re currently pouring on the ground floor of The Standard Hotel. The drinks have been brought to life through a collaboration with three emerging artists, who have created pieces that embody the style and character of each drink. The team is focused on building all the serves using the best ingredients on the market and has partnered closely with independent distilleries such as Chase Distillery, ELLC and the Kanpai Sake brewery.
